First 6 games 1,187 yards passing 6 TDs 2 INTs (one wasnt his fault)

1 rush TD

So he will probably have a 2,300 or 2,400 passing yards this season and about 15 or so TDs.

I'm not laughing at Sean White doing that, just how he came up with those numbers. There wasn't even an acknowledgment of the stronger schedule ahead, less cupcakes or anything.

I was wrong about saying that Sean was solid not elite? I'd love to be wrong about that but nothing thus far suggests that

First 6 opponents, national rank yards allowed per play through 10/1:

#4
#21
#25
#45
#102
#114

Remaining 6 opponents, same metric:

#7
#75
#86t
#86t
#91
#113 FCS

Do you really believe that our second half slate of opponents is going to be tougher defensively than our first half?

Dude, don't be bringing that fact shite in here to challenge Chin's mega-accurate Sean White feelz.

Those stats on yards per play for the rest of the season doesn't prove shite. Yeah there is a possibility that the defenses may be better but had competition that forced their stats to inflate? Such as Ole Miss to Bama's defense. Think with your heads not your asses.

Not to mention that Sean shared time in the Clemson game.

I think the yardage numbers are practically a given, 15 TDs maybe a stretch but definitely an attainable goal.

If the following stats
-<200ypg (175 vs p5)
-1 TD/game (1 total v p5)
- <20 pts vs 3/4 P5 opponents
- Negative rush yards

If you are suggesting that stat lines like those are "elite" QB worthy, then sure bud.

Okay, then use your head and explain why you believe that actual on-field results should be ignored when projecting statistical performance.

BTW, that "inflated stats"works both ways. Arkys #92 rated defense includes games against LA Tech, Texas St and FCS Alcorn, and Vandy's lofty #86 ranking was skewed by juggernaut offenses like SCarolina, Florida and Kentucky...

Your next question should if the second string defenses allowed garbage time yards which could skew the stats. Or maybe they play to the level of their opponents which would help us none.

I'm still trying to figure out why I'm supposed to be eating crow over a performance against lowly MSU.

This is getting more into stats/regression forecasting

I'm not saying not to use on field stats, but there is a large variance in SW's stat lines. This makes taking an average an inconsistent estimator of PassTds/PassYds

I think you're welcome to reserve the right to say "I told you so" if our offense stinks it up later this year. I just don't feel it appropriate to denigrate a 24-point road win against an SEC West team, especially considering we started the week as 1-point underdogs.

There is obviously other easier defenses on the schedule but the schedule will generally be harder as injuries pile up, we are on the road in the SEC more, and we are less likely to get favorable calls on the road. That much is a given regardless of stats.

Don't see anyone denigrating the W

When Chex&Co start championing SW as an elite QB, people will rightfully start to pump the breaks.
