I know we have a ton of injuries, but come on there has to be some joyless murderball dna left in the locker room.

It’s definitely joyless.

Why is it we seem to be the only team that always has over half the starting lineup out or twice as many injuries as our opponent? If we're gonna keep Deboer, then Ballou needs to frick off right back to Indiana.

I have vivid memories of Freddie Millons taking the first punt back against UCLA when we were preseason #3, before we got absolutely worked and proceeded to only win 3 games that year

No matter what happens with DeBoer he will never be as unlikeable as Bill Curry

He is working his way into that territory.

Not even close. Look at his 1988 Homecoming game where we lost to Ole Miss 22-12. Passing stats for Bama were 0 completions in 11 attempts, with 3 interceptions. Plus Bill Curry was an insufferable douche.

Shula was a very likable guy who coached under a horrible handicap of probation. We never saw him coach on a level field.

He was hard headed as a result of that. I'll never forget when a caller to his radio call in show warned him that he needed to change his signals because Auburn had figured them out. He said if we executed properly, that wouldn't matter. Well, Auburn did know them, kicked out arse, then gave them to our bowl opponent, who beat us (one of their players said afterwards they knew our signals).

Bill Curry had us ranked what number 2 with Gary Hollingsworth? Beat Miami and we're playing for a ship

He had Gary Hollingsworth as a seldom used backup on the bench until his choice for starter, Jeff Dunn, got injured.
If Curry had changed his signals when he was warned they were compromised, we would have probably beaten Miami, but he was hard headed. That 1989 team's success had more to do with Homer Smith than Bill Curry.

I want to know what voodoo process is being used at Neyland Stadium right now. It's as bad as the barn.

Read the post....felt not record, felt. This coaching staff feels jeckle and hyde. Dubose felt clueless so does this staff. Look it sometimes too.

Yeah I agree.. more like Dubose. The whole ordeal is really what put Finebaum on the map. He actually helped get Dubose fired. I know a lot of people can't stand him but that was one campaign he definitely got right. And he sounds almost ready to do the same with Deboer. Except he knows there is really noone worth all the money its gonna take to make all that happen
