and if you were them, would you have preferred to lose to Va Tech yesterday instead of letting Aunt Mary beat you twice?

And still went 3-0 against the SEC

Because those games clearly mattered so much

Yes. Their gaudy record was always questionable playing in the Big 10.

That’s the most unimpressed I’ve ever been with the number one overall team. Coin flip game after coin flip game against exceedingly mediocre competition.

I guess you forgot Vanderbilt being the #1 overall seed and being eliminated by Wright State last year?

This is much worse than UT losing to a solid Notre Dame team in the super regional. Don't get me wrong, the Vols should have won. But my gosh, UCLA didn't get out of their own regional. No comparison in my opinion.

I suppose they are. I’m also pretty sure the #2 ranked preseason team that didn’t even come close to making a regional was really overrated as well.

Being number 1 seed is a curse
Only 2 No. 1 overall seeds have won the national championship:
Miami Hurricanes baseball (1999)
Tennessee Volunteers baseball (2024)
I’d never want to be the number 1 seed
Lol

I don't think Vandy got as much pub coming in.
