One of my favorite coaches ever, Washington State's Mike Leach, is rumored to have a great chance at being Tennessee's new head football coach...

According to Scott Roussel of FootballScoop, buzz has increased around Leach as a leading candidate for the vacant Tennessee job. Sources indicate that Leach has a “very good shot” of being offered the job, and would likely take it if given the chance.

Things are reportedly serious enough that Washington State has internally discussed potential replacements should Leach elect to leave.

Leach would definitely be an interesting hire for Tennessee. If he could hire an elite DC, I could see Leach doing very well at Tennessee. It's hard to predict how Leach's personality would play out in the living rooms with the Mama's and Dads though. I'm sure Leach would probably have the highest IQ of all SEC coaches.
