Easily beats all the other stupid things coaches around the country have been doing. This is a pretty good idea...

Stupid gumps there are players from LSU on that list!

Not Stupid at all adawg. He's (they) are selling Saban as the ticket to the NFL pay day. He just happens to be at Bama. Even the title line read:

"Pics of His NFL Players" not:

"Pics of Alabama NFL Players."

Great recruiting tool in a day where kids are more likely to choose where they can play sooner and who can get them to the NFL over academics, tradition, etc. JMHO

LSU fills up almost half of that list

Demetrius Byrd came in with LSU's '07 class. How is he claiming him?

Ricky Jean-Francois, Brandon Lafell, and Trindon Holiday all signed after Miles was hired and never played a snap for Saban. Taking credit for them is a stretch, at best.

"all signed after Miles was hired and never played a snap for Saban"

They covered their arse at the top by saying "Coach Saban has coached or recruited 111 NFL Draft picks."

Don't bash them for being "creative". Hell, the only thing that pisses me off about this is that someone at LSU didn't think of something like this for recruiting. Today's recruits respond to this stuff why not use it?

If just "recruiting" a player that makes the NFL counts, every SEC coaches list should be in the thousands.

The he never signed or coached Trindon, Demtrius, and RJF yet has them on here is ridiculous. All early reports were that Saban wasn't going to give Trindon a scholarship and Miles came in and did.

It is a good recruiting tactic however. I think other coaches should emulate it. Miles' won't be too shabby either.

This list is horseshite. So, Saban take credit for recruiting players Miles coached. Miles could compile his list and would end up with most of the same players at LSU. I guess Miles should take credit for Brandon Weeden, Dez Bryant, etc...Bama claiming more things they don't deserve...Shocking

A better study would be: how many actually got 2nd contracts with the same team

A couple of things

Wheres the list of "Medical" discharged for the kids that were culled?

And its must be $abuns fault that McClain washed out of the NFL. I mean if you take the credit for things you were not involved in than you should take the blame also.

I'm surprised they didn't include every drafted player on the Miami Dolphins roster from '05-'06.

What can you say? Honesty has NEVER been a strongsuit of either gumps or saban.

So who is going to do the same thing for Les Miles? We could count all of his Ok. St. players.

Saban def had a solid few from his Michigan State days. Dunno about Toledo.

I can't believe he's claiming some of these guys. I can name 5 that he's never even met.

I love the fact that his picture states "Including 33 players from the University of Alabama." Should also say "and 46 players from LSU - half of which never played under him"
