Other than student teaching and getting faculty kids in, I think LSU pretty much leaves it alone. It does have a board of directors.

This is not my area of expertise, but from what I have always heard from my buddies that went through med school, once you got in you should be able to hack it. No one is trying to fail you. Everyone wants you to succeed. You may not get to be a surgeon, but there is a path for everyone that gets in.
