Seahawks Stopped Using A&M’s “Home Of The 12th Man”
Thomas Campbell-USA TODAY Sports
Well, well, well, looks like Texas A&M has won the 12th man battle over the Seattle Seahawks. Per CollegeSpun...
quote:

For years, Texas A&M received payments from the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks for use of the trademarked phrase, and now, it appears that Seattle is going in a different direction. Based on new signage, the Seahawks are now referring to CenturyLink Field as “Home of the 12s.”

Surprising.

Two obnoxious, insufferable fan bases and organizations fighting over a phrase. Idiots.

"What does the "s" stand for in 12s?"

It is just a normal plural. It is stating all of its fans are a 12 (as in the 12th person), put together they are the 12s.

"Well, Spinal Tap had ones that went to 11, so naturally we had to go to 12."

Have an upvote for referencing Spinal Tap

Nobody is forgetting last year's records.

Aggies seem to forget the self generated over inflation of their teams the last decade plus. For a program that has never accomplsihed anything nationally, or in the SEC, you'd expect a more humbel fan base.

Seems like a way of being PC (including women), and not paying some school for a "tradition".

The school, that if left unchecked, would turn nearly anything into a "sacred tradition"

frick your grass, Aggie!

Lots of people forgetting that the Texas Aggies had the exact same record as LSU and Auburn except we did a better job of representing the conference and WON our bowl game.
