Everybody gets a trophy in today's world. It's just not fair to crown only one champion anymore.

Well, Bama won the SEC Championship so Saban's "winners" have a trophy. But, it just comes off a completely disingenuous from him.

You don't nessessarily have to win the National Championship to be National Champions, right Bama?

So Ohio State didn't win. Bama really won. They don't have the trophy to show it.

Guys, all he is saying is that he believes his players are winners in his eyes and he doesn't need them to bring him a trophy to prove it. He knows the work they put in and he knows their attitude.

If you've paid any attention, he's never really cared that much about trophies. From the first day he got to Alabama, he has talked about "the process," which is not results-oriented. Trophies have always been a byproduct of doing things the right way, but not really the ultimate goal. It's also why he has managed to look miserable even when championship games have been well in-hand or seems to turn his attention to the next year's team within hours of the last game of the year - win or lose.
