Huffington Post Writer Tells SEC Girls To 'Cover Up' In Article
by Larry LeoSeptember 13, 2016

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports
Free-lance writer and Birmingham native, Rebecca Weldon, put SEC girls on blast in an Huffington Post article she wrote on Tuesday. The article has since been taken down, but Weldon, who attended the opening week's Alabama vs. USC game, did not like what she was seeing being worn by the Crimson Tide female fans in attendance...

quote:
Dear young ladies of the SEC, can you do us all a solid and start covering it up?
Standing amongst many of you at the recent Alabama-USC game in AT&T Stadium, I was bewildered.
An Alabama student myself not 20 years ago, I remember what fun it was to dress up for football games. My friends and I would scour the racks of Banana Republic and other favorite stores for anything and everything crimson. We’d swap favorite pieces, share accessories and pull together our “best look” week after week, not only for those cute fraternity boys, but also to cheer on the mighty Tide.
What we didn’t want, and what we never did, was to show up for a college football game looking like we belonged in a Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
More than once at that last ballgame, I wished I could have wrapped my elephant scarf around one of you, teetering around on stilettos with your bra straps exposed and operating under the misguided notion that you looked irresistible.

The kids and progressives these days call that article "slut shaming" and I'm really surprised that HuffPo even let that be published in the first place. I'm an old guy and would rather something be left to the imagination but I don't care enough to brow beat anybody over it.

Huffpost is one of the biggest pushers of this kind of garbage around. I would never be surprised at anything published there. They are SJW central.

Eh HuffPo has conservative commentators/OP-Eds all the time. They just tend to put those articles where you don't see them easily but they know that they'll show up in search engines and that because they're contrary to much of HuffPo's readership will cause controversies with readers when/if discovered.

Walden's just upset that her arse is now huge; she can't pull it off herself anymore; and she's married to that pudknocker.

"Scantily clad" women would be near the end of a very long list of things wrong with the Alabama football fanbase. Hell, this author would lose her shite if she saw how slutty some gals dress for their 8:30 A.M. biology class.

I can't speak on Bama, but LSU sorority girls don't dress very scantily/ slutty on game days.

Even if it resembled a Victoria Secret fashion show, those women are entitled to dress how they like. I'm trying to imagine an article, written by a man, decrying shirtless men at a football game.
