This was probably one of Saban’s famous contingency plans. Apparently he has detailed plans for ever situation and contingency. Being prepared and detailed is one of things that separates him from other coaches.

Is this supposed to be something unique and never done before? I can remember LSU doing this during the SEC baseball tourney back in the 90's and I am sure they weren't the first to do it either.
