Is this the same knee that was injured last year?

I read a while back that some people are more prone to ACL tears because of thickness of the ligament and anatomy of the knee. If he does have another ACL injury, the good news is that surgical repair will rectify that predisposition. I hope not necessary, but folks on 247 saying this threatens his career are most likely over-reacting.

I read an article and saw a picture on DawgNation that his first injury was on his right knee. Hope this is not a legit story for his sake.

It is the opposite knee. We don't know exactly how it occurred and we certainly don't know what the injury is yet. No definitive knee diagnoses without an MRI, so it will be a few days at least until anyone knows anything for sure.

I hope our fan base doesn't rumor monger, overreact, and try to assign blame for something that is no ones fault. However, I have been a college football fan long enough to know that is unlikely.

Got injured as a gunner on the second team kick return coverage.

Seems risky to have a potential starter gunning on special teams but that is football for you.

Starters and elite prospects play special teams under Kirby. It's part of the culture.

Sony Michel played on multiple special teams last season as well.

It sucks for any player to be injured, but I hope we as fans resist the urge to assume some type of negligence or reckless practice habits led to an injury, especially at this stage when no one has any concrete info.

Apparently it was a non contact injury.

Hopefully this means Zeus can recover as well as he did with his other knee.

Let's hope so. Or it could be that we're dealing with another Trinton Sturdivant. That guy would have eventually been an All American tackle and high NFL pick but seemed to be born with knees prone to ACL tears.

247 posters are saying he limped off but walked off under his own power. Hopefully not too bad.
