We may never know the full reasons why but yes this is basically us turning away the best running back in the class which, in turn, tells me it’s something more egregious than not being an EE. Evans did or didn’t do something that Kirby just flat out said he doesn’t want in this program

No, Kirby wanted to keep the disease out of the locker room.

Or grades.

Unless it’s a cheating issue, grades haven’t ever been brought up as an issue for Evans. Rather it has been an attitude thing for as long as he’s been recruited

that amkes sense...but basd on waht is publicly known it seems like Evans getting the hell out of northshore (both the high school and his hometown) ASAP is absolutley in his best interest. It wouldn't shock me if when finding out he couldn't com ehere early he started looking at places that would.

I mean we've taken character guys all the time, pickens just last year. He would have had to damn near knife a coach or somethign for us to turn him away IMO.

Pickens was at a position of desperate need, Evans isn’t. Pickens also got here first. Can’t bring on too many attitude issues or else you develop a real problem and by many accounts Evans has had a hard time keeping his nose clean.

As far as ACT goes, that can be retaken many more times between now and Fall camp. That alone wouldn’t cause release from an NLI

More likely A&M in my opinion

He might be another Gurley but my gut is telling me we dodged a bullet on this one...JS

Wish him the best, but a talent like that being turned away leaves me with questions.

It'll all come out eventually.

We dodged a bullet. We don't need this kind of distraction.

I think that’ll be Milton. Remember, Keith Marshall was the better rated recruit, but it was Gurley who became the star.

I still remember watching the HS highlights of Gurley and Marshall and immediately thinking they had them reversed and Todd was the five star. It was obvious.

I remember watching that Buffalo opener and thinking that Gurley was the best RB I had ever seen.

How do we steal this kid from GT? (Jahmyr Gibbs)

Is it possible? His film right there looks incredible. And he hasn't signed a LOI yet.

We're not. He's publicly said he's not interested in UGA as we clearly had him as our Plan Z.

He'll likely end up at Tech and that's a good spot for him.

His film does look good. Honestly, I've not watched much of Evans' film, but I didn't see anything spectacular during the all-star game. I'm sure it's there, but I don't know that I want to waste time on his film now.
