I switched fron Youtube to Hulu several weeks ago because Youtube did not carry some chick channels my wife likes to watch.

I don't know if any of this Disney fuss will affect Hulu or not.

It won’t because Hulu is also Disney.

While gross, this is a chess move by Disney that was put in motion long ago.

Football fans arent going to miss the games tomorrow, so people will have to look for other options. Most of which are all owned by Disney. Such as Hulu, Fubo TV, the new Espn-Fox 1 bundle app, etc

Some will like these products and stay there. Others will return to YouTubeTV when they have to cave to Disney and accept their terms to get espn back,

Disney cant lose. Its a total checkmate

I'm watching the Georgia game on Hulu at a friend's home. I have a new TV tuner that's supposed to be good. It will not pick up ABC in my living room so tonight I'm taking it to the attic.

In all probability, Disney and Google will make a temporary deal tonight.

If no deal is made, The Fubo TV sports only package is my Plan B.

$45.99 a month for every channel that carries college football (except for NBC)

Might actually be a better deal for my needs anyway. Although my youtubetv account just billed a couple days ago, so i just pissed $90 bucks away for nothing

You can try Nufu Streaming I used it a couple of years back when the Braves had their dispute with Balley's

Not sure how legal it is but it was fine for a couple of months.

Consumers are leverage to these bozos…that’s it. If they do this in the summer nobody would notice.

I was about to cancel Xfinity and go with Youtube TV. Glad I didn't pull the trigger yet. I still think I am going to. I think if I had youtube TV I would just have a temp subscription to Hulu or wherever I could catch the UGA game. Xfinity cable TV still runs I think around 175/mo.

Feels like we’re at the crescendo of something that, in 30 years, people will scratch their heads wondering how we, the last of the mohicans, couldnt see the rapid demise that is about to come crashing down on our heads….

-half of fbs fires their coach during season
- $50 zillion dollar buyouts tossed out like its nothing
-college players making millions and set to be allowed to gamble on sports. Haha ha what could possibly go wrong there?
-4 team playoff to 12 team playoff, soon to be 16 or more
-networks using viewers as bargaining chips and chessboard pawns on GA Fl weekend
-streaming already now more expense than cable ever was
-the conservative SEC got in bed with woke espn while the woke big 10 got in bed with neocon fox
-dogs and cats living together
-and on n on eyt etc

I bought a directional over the air antenna and low and behold 2025 is like 1975 and I can see the game on ABC over the air for free. frick all of them.

I have questions if you don't mind.

How do you figure out the direction to point the antenna? Do you turn it manually Does it have to be precisely positioned to work? Where is your antenna and how is it mounted?

Edit: just saw your 2nd post so that answers most of my questions. Sounds like you just hold the button and let it rotate until you get the best picture.

Any way you slice it, Disney will get your money if you watch football. I went to FUBO. They have a sports slim package or something. It has all the sports (ESPN and their channels, ABC, SEC, ACC, B1G etc) for about $54a month with $10 off the first month. I paid for a quarter which should get me through football season and cancelled YouTubeTV. YouTubeTV is just as bad as the Disney networks, so I went with the cheapest alternative.

Just this season YouTube allowed you to build your own MultiView. Will be missed. RIP YouTubeTV for me.

This is not the time nor place to get into what it was like without 24 hr sports programming and on Sat you could either look forward to watching whomever ND was playing that week or listening to the game on the radio.

I have YouTube TV. I just signed up for a subscription with Disney/Hulu/ESPN for the ESPN Unlimited plan for 29.99/mo. This plan also has the ABC and SEC channels.

This plan has a one month free-trial period which (for me) expires Nov 30. The Georgia-GaTech game is on Nov 28 on ABC (Disney).

I hope YouTube and Disney will have figured it out by the Ga-Gt game, and then I'll cancel my Disney/Hulu/ESPN contract, and I won't have to pay anything for all my trouble.

Just do a free trial. If you don’t like it, cancel before the trial ends.

I did a 7-day free fubo tv trial a few years ago just to watch the Masters then cancelled it. Unless things have changed, it’s probably the best format/interface whatever of them all

Back then it was overpriced, but if this YouTubetv thing actually happens, I’ll be in the sports only fubo tv subscription at 11:59 tomorrow morning
