think as I get older and older I'll go less and less, but I can't fathom teh day that I'm content to only watch the games on TV exclusively.
I let my season tix go like 3 years ago.
Still made 1-2 big games a year and I'll be in Jax for my only regular season game this year.
It's sad but it actually became a ROI decision.
Got to where I felt like just another chump to gouge cash from instead of a valued Alum and supporter.
It came to the point where it's just give me more, more, more...
Moved to the Gulf, follow my Dawgs religiously, and will be in Fernandina Beach Thursday like I have for 40 years...

I agree with WG, there is absolutely nothing like being in the stadium for a game. There is no way TV can mimic the view from the stands, the excitement of the crowd and just "being there".
That being said, I've been going to games since 1970, was a student from 73-77 and I first bought season tickets in 1981 when the East endzone was enclosed. I'm age 67 now and have gone from doing the whole tailgating thing to now just showing up for the games and not even all of them. No Samford or Kent St for me.
We first parked behind the Art Building and then they built the North Deck, still parked there but then the AA decided to restrict access. We moved over to the Performing Arts Center lot. Then the AA took it over so we moved into the PAC deck. Then the AA took it over and forced us further out. Now we use the East Campus Deck and ride the bus in and out of the stadium. Riding in is a breeze but going back to the deck is a royal pain.
Now, this year, after 41 years of loyalty, I was informed I didn't have enough "points" to buy Florida tickets. This may be the last straw for me. I'm really really close to joining Dallas. It really is all about the dollars and not about the fans anymore.

You and dallas are exactly corret, I think pretty much everyone is experiencing it too. My biggest question is...how do you strike a proper balance?
On one hand, you've got the older crowd that has had season tickets for 40 years and give the minimum. These are long time donors through thick and thin that have given well into the 6 figures over a lifetime to UGA.
On the other, you've got the youngblood/new money group that has only contributed for 10 years or so, or hell maybe never until Kirby got here, but are throwing big money around yearly. This is your Magill society, hedges, silver circle, whatever group. They have donated for a tiny fraction of time compared to the first group, and haven't given half as much over a lifetime as them, but on an annual yearly basis are giving 10x as much.
So how do you satisfy both groups? It's a tough question with no easy answer that I'm glad I don't have to solve. Our family fits into group 1 and about 5 years ago really started feeling the effects of magill and all the new interest in the program. Our home seats aren't affected obviously, and we will still get tickets to any away game requested, but instead of having prime lower level seats at away and neutral sites we've increasingly been relegated to upper decks.

Have any of you done a study of just Stub-Hubbing it instead of the cost of Season Tix donations+face?

It works out well if you don't mind missing Tennessee at UGA.

WG, to answer your question, it seems to be a shift from loyalty to what can you do for me now? This is in the business world too. You don’t see the same continuity with companies as people keep jumping around and frankly, a lot of companies enable this by not rewarding loyalty. I try to reward my employees who are loyal in different ways and it works, but we always lose a few chasing the $$. Some come back hat in hand and some do not.
I see season tickets like Airplane rewards programs. The 2 million mile people are less coveted than the ones who flew a lot in the last 2 years. Maybe it makes sense on the quarterly P&L, but loyalty is an idea that is not measured on a spreadsheet.

I'm sure that speaking STRICTLY in terms of money out of your wallet you'd come out way ahead just buying on stubhub or other aftermarket, but I enjoy the familiarity of sitting in the same seat every game around the same people.

Companies taking away pensions and paying outside hires more than internal hires is why this has happened.

I don't know the answer either but there should be some way to reward loyalty to the program along with current year dollars. Maybe awarding points for consecutive years buying season tickets on some sort of sliding scale. How many of these new folks are going to keep buying like we did after Dooley retired and we had to sit through the rough years. Even some of the Dooley years were pretty tough.
And on the parking situation I mentioned, the year the AA took over the Performing Arts Center lot, it remained half empty each game as we rode by going into the deck. It just really made no sense to take over the whole lot for half the users.

New footage of the Burton rampage is out. LINK….
It shows him actually go out of his way to aggressively shove a third UT fan proving just how terrified and scared he was as he struts off the field looking like a belligerent a-hole the entire way.
There’s a new slow motion angle of him hitting the female fan too that shows clearly how egregious that one was too. I don’t know how to link it though but it’ll be every where before sunrise
Uh oh. Saban done finally fricked up.

Yeah, this last video leaves no doubt. He was straight up thugging. He knocked the crap out of at least 3 people and at least 2 were girls.
