What?Against A&M?No we weren't. Were you even watching the game?
We passed 9 times on 1st down.We threw slants,screens,wheel routes,fly patterns.
We also attacked the corners repeatedly with our running game.

Go back to the ore-season.. a lot thought UGA would be scoring in the 40’s. And we’re more concerned with a young Defense. They had convinced themselves UGA was gonna set up the run with the pass and be explosive.

You havent figured this out, yet?
If the play doesn't work, it was predictable and awful coaching/playcalling.

You’re right, BUT are you satisfied with Coley?

I also think there’s a possibility that our defense is so good because it has to be. It’s a matter of survival.

Yes, and our offense is still predictable. Hell, A&M writer flat out called it predictable. Just because we ran a wheel route, ran wide, passed on 1st down and threw a slant or two doesn't make our offense innovative or tricky to figure out. We also ran on first and second down quite often putting us in third and long.
There's no way you can watch this offense throughout the course of the year, and even against A&M, and call it innovative or any other buzzword other than predictable.

I'm satisfied with wins. And I will continue to do so when we beat GT and LSU.
Am I impressed with Coley?
Not quite. I don't think he is "the problem". But ultimately it is his and Smarts job to find success for the offense. And we no doubt struggle.
Ironically, the playcalling looks nothing like it did at the beginning of the season. That was "his offense". It wasnt working. And the offensive staff have been in "fix it" mode all season. Unfortunately, that means that we havent repped these plays all spring and summer.

I've just given you specific examples of our unpredictability. Throwing NINE times is predictable for this offense? Running slants were predictable?Attacking the corners with our run game? He ran plays that all you guys were bitching him not running all year.
Don't GAS what a visiting beat writer has to say who has seen us play one freaking game.
The only semi valid criticism he had about
our predictably was our 11 personnel formation.Do you really want to go with a 10 personnel with our WR:s? Do you want to go with a 21 or 12 package? You think teams are stacking the box now...

I pretty well agree with what you said; I just think we can do better and should with an OC.

Sure we can and others need to step up as well

I’m not sure what’s the deal. There’s definitely an aspect to being unpredictable and creative I do not think we have done a good job of either.
Some may point out a 4 plays or so in each game where Fromm missed but that’s a very small portion over the course of a 4 quarter games and 16 quarters in November. And we have score 8 touchdowns in 4 games in November and 14 points won’t cut it vs LSU (or beyond).
