I suppose if we are ranked higher than UF and ND beats Clemson we could play Clemson in the Orange Bowl

Say Tennessee beats Texas A&M, and ND wins, we are knocking at the door, probably in, if they consider all the circumstances.

Unfortunately that won't happen

Folks are just gonna remember the 38 we gave up in the 1st half in Jacksonville

I'm still shaking my head at how Ohio state's even in the conversation playing less games not to mention their schedule was so soft, makes zero sense.

ohio state has great TV draw. Could you imagine the criticism CFB would get with two ACC and two SEC teams in the Playoffs?
If ohio state loses their CG, look for USC to take their place with a 6-0 record if they win their CG. If you like JT Daniels, you'll love Slovis. He's the real deal.

They're top three in talent. Everyone knows they'd be there if it were a normal season. They may be rested but they're also soft from lack of competition. They should get their shite pushed in by Bama or Clemson.

That might actually be a good game assuming Jordan Davis plays and stays healthy and LeCount is back. I'd like to see it. I suspect we will still be in the Peach Bowl with Cincinnati, though.

If Florida loses to Alabama (Almost a certainty) they could lose all focus on the season (Similar to us when we played Texas) and lose to Miami in the Orange Bowl, f they are still in it there. (Or whichever bowl the end up in) With three losses out of 11 games they could drop out of contention for a NY6 game altogether, though.

Neither will this.

I mean they could (LSU beat Florida) but I would be shocked. Clemson was missing several key players on defense and Lawrence. They will stomp a mudhole in ND to make a point to the CFP Committee. ND, if it is as bad as I think it will be, just might drop out altogether.

Most thought the same about Oklahoma before the season started. Tons of people saw the CFP as:

Alabama
Clemson
Oklahoma
Ohio State

In some order. When you actually play games against decent competition it tends to expose weaknesses not previously seen.

Peach Bowl vs Cincinnati more than likely

Committe is going to be as regional as possible this year.

Orange-North Carolina vs Florida
Peach-Georgia vs Cincinnati/Coastal Carolina
Cotton-Texas A&M vs Oklahoma/Iowa State
Fiesta-USC vs Indiana/Iowa/BYU

Lol.

We are a 2 loss team that didn't win our conference or even our division. We played 2 legit teams this year and lost to both.

Your resume is who you are. Clemson's loss to nd doesn't get an asterisk by it just because lawrence was out, just like us not having daniels til now doesn't wipe away the first 5-6 games we played. There is zero chance whatsoever of us making the playoffs

While our fate doesn’t change, the playoff committee absolutely takes everything in to account when looking at a team’s resume.

We know at least one thing. Florida is no longer a shoe-in for the Playoffs.

They never were. They still had to beat Bama which we all knew was unlikely.

Better bowl matchup is our prize. I'm hoping ND beats Clemson. I think that's the obvious matchup.

Maybe this is a silly questions but we couldn’t play ND if they lose to Clemson?

If the lose to Clemson bad we probably get ND. If it's close they're both in, so who knows.
