The QB is often what make a championship team a championship team. You need look no further than Joe Borrow, Trevor Lawrence, Deshaun Watson, etc. And yes, 2 of those came from our state. Our team is generally perceived on the Rant as underachieving but this thread is proof positive that at the most important position on football field, we were most definitely overrated.

There's no reason he should have left early after the awful season he had.

He left because it would be 3 OCs in 4 years at UGA. That makes him a smarter QB. But it means extra effort with same/worse results in terms of draft ability.

Someone got in his ear about 3 OCs in 4 years and what that has done to other QBs in the same conversation. He could go to the NFL and put all of his energy in a new NFL OC and probably be better for it. The goal is to get a 2nd contract. This puts him 1 year ahead of schedule on that.

Fromm didn't handle adversity very well at UGA. He can be a decent backup, and ironically the lowered expectations could do good things for his mindset and development.

Don't be surprised if he's still in the league in 2034.

Patriots, Raiders, Lions, and Steelers are the only teams left showing a need at QB.

I could see the Pats taking him in one of these later rounds, and that would be a great place for him to land.

Why exactly did he leave early?

I think he was concerned about being able to hang with Monken's new scheme. He knew Coley was on the way out.

Leaving early was a gigantic mistake, but he's made his bed now.

With late round picks, NFL teams will almost always go with the more physically gifted player with upside. That's not Fromm.

Don’t know where he’s going but FIU QB just picked ahead of Fromm.

Glad to see Eason off the board. Mortensen talking about his character flaws was cringey.

Belichick likes bigger QBs, and Fromm's tape in bad weather games (UK, A&M) probably scares teams who play late season games in bad weather.

This isn't exactly a ringing endorsement that leads one to believe you take the FIU QB over the UGA QB. I don't see this analysis as spelling out "more physically gifted".

ESPN Pre-Draft analysis on Morgan:

Morgan is a natural leader with good toughness and size. He has a quick release and a strong arm. He flashes the ability to manipulate the coverage with his eyes, and his touchdown-to-interception ratio greatly improved over the past two seasons. He will force throws when he gets pressured. He's a streaky passer with below-average touch. He has adequate pocket mobility, but he's not much of a threat as a runner. -- Steve Muench

Fromms arm speed was 53 mph in all throws. Was on 59 in the same quadrants.

Deshaun Watsons, 49 mph.

Fromm has fine arm speed in the middle of the pack.

I'm more surprised JR Reed hasn't gone yet than I am Fromm.

ARe you sure? Because the Raiders had two consecutive picks and took Bowden, then another receiver ten seconds later. Really you think they drafted two receivers back to back?

Yes, the Raiders have no receivers other than a slot receiver in Hunter Renfroe. They've taken three receivers now. Bowden is going to have a Taysom Hill package. He is going to be a receiver, a running back, and maybe even a QB some plays, but make no mistake, he isnt being drafted as a true backup QB. He's Antwan Randle El.

Fromm to Bills

Odd spot for him. Young QB and going to a place that needs a QB with a strong arm and big hands with the weather and wind.
