Well, I've officially freaked myself out about this game.

It seems like trap. Almost like Spurrier is some sort of master tactician, like Arminius, and Richt plays the role of the Roman, Varus, leading his legions deeper into the Tuetoburg Forest towards certain, but unknown doom. Spurrier has his team looking like a bag of mashed up assholes right now, but then he'll give his signal on Saturday and they'll look like the damn 1985 Bears.

I do not know why, but all I can see when I think about the game is USC's D shooting the gaps with 9 men and hitting our RBs in the backfield as we continue to try and run between the tackels, and Lambert getting rattled by the pressure and making mistake after mistake.

Then I see Cooper killing us in the wildcat and Spurrier working his dark magic by putting Cooper in the slot against McGraw and allowing a walk-on in his first start to throw for 300 yards on us.

Worst case scenario? Absolutely. But my belief that we'll win this game seems to diminish a little more each day. I fricking hate Spurrier.

I'm right there with you. Spurrier has our number and gets his team ready for us better than any team I've seen.

Losing a home game to Kentucky and having the worst run defense in the conference are not the marks of a master tactician.

Georgia could obviously lose, but we're a big favorite for a reason. Lots of reasons actually.

I have tFear as well. I can see those intermediate passes killing us again just like they did last year. Spurrier took Pruitt to school on that. Hopefully a better secondary will be able to handle it.

I still think we win, but I still see flashes of Melvin Ingram running that fake punt for a TD a couple years ago and it drives me nuts.

With that being said, hopefully the leadership on the team realize how symbolic this game can be for the season, and we get after it on Saturday.

I watched the "Bastard Executioner" last night...saw a guy getting the skin and muscle peeled off his back and not quickly.

I'd rather have that happen to me than wait one more fricken day for this game to be over. It's the first true milestone for this team to surpass (successfully) this season and build my confidence.

1ST - USCjr

2ND - Bama

3RD - UTENN

4TH - FL

5TH - AU/GT EVEN

I heard we are going to try to hypnotize them with eardrum-rupturing jungle beats and grunts on the new sound system...

Nothing to worry about here. Everything is under control.

Generally speaking I expect the worst from Georgia. I think our offense will look putrid, Schotty will finally start becoming the villain, etc.

That said I think Georgia wins another ugly game. Not close, just ugly. Why? The upset is almost too obvious.

I'd be a liar if I said I had no fear about this game, but a few things to lessen some of your anxiety.

1) The myth that "Spurrier has owned us at South Carolina" is just that, a myth. He is 5-5 against us, and while historically that is terrible for UGA against the Gamecocks, it's worth noting that he faced Willie Martinez five times and Grantham four times.

2) Las Vegas. The guys in silk suits with last names that end in vowels have no faith in South Carolina. Are they always right? Of course not. Many will point to last year as a time when we were favored against South Carolina and lost. What was the line last year? UGA -7. This year it is UGA -17.

Yes, I'm nervous, but keep your sanity by remembering those two points.

Boom. My exact thoughts. I want to put 50 on USCe so badly though but I have a feeling it would be like a 14-6 type of scope with one of our TDs coming from Defense/PR/KR.

To all of those who don't seem to be at all worried, remember UF 2014. Never forget.

It seems like we have more speed at LB this year. Wilson and Herrera looked like they were running in quicksand anytime they were asked to drop into coverage.

Watching Floyd chase some WRs and TEs around last game was beautiful. Hopefully we have the personnel to handle thoe intermediate passes regularly this year.

Las Vegas

Las Vegas lines will never keep me from worrying about an upset. They had Auburn by like 40 points over JSU. They had us by double digits against Florida last year.

No doubt, they aren't perfect. I'd argue they have a way better track record than anyone that posts here.

They'll fake 2 punts and go for it twice as well.
Maybe a fake FG.

He's won 4 of the last 5. Prior to that they had zero talent. When the talent level has been even close, he's gone balls deep.

Keep in mind it's a night game. The OBC will probably have a blood alcohol level of .12 by kickoff.

For a night game, I would expect much more from him. He thinks visors are cool.
