Entered the portal today. Everyone in his family played at UGA. Think Tom Crean can lock us down a big man?

I am not confident. Go look at the Georgia bball thread up top. A lot of turmoil on our team. Could lose as many as 5 on the roster by weeks end. 3 already, 2 contemplating and we have no idea the future of the seniors which I can only imagined aren’t inspired If the younger guys are leaving :(

Everyone says the family hates Crean but no one ever provides any info to back it up.
I think we are currently 13th in the SEC in recruiting. not what was supposed to be happening under Crean. Not a good recruiter and not a good x and o coach....not sure why he is here.

Its been said many many times before, we have less than zero chance at him. His family was loyal to fox, not crean. They watched our fanbase absolutely trash the shite out of his brother (with good reason) for years. Walker is good enough to go to literally any basketball power he wants, he's not coming here to an average program just because his uncle played here decades ago.

There's rumor floating around that Crean will be gone. If true, it'll have to be a new coach who snags the kid.

I hope this is true. Crean obviously doesn't have what it takes to recruit our state and beyond and coach a well oiled machine. It's rather disheartening to see small private schools like Abilene Christian and Oral Roberts playing well in the NCAA tournament while we don't even qualify for the NIT. Hopefully we can land a coach who can put it all together and at least make our basketball program competitive.

If crean really is out. We honestly have done a better job than usual on keeping it quiet.
I really wish one of these hires would hit. It’s tough on the soul to his reset every third year.
