I know it sucks to miss out on the big fish at the close, but at the end of the day, all the kids we were expecting to send in LOI DID. Its that simple. A class of 32 and possibly 33 if we get Toby...it doesnt suck.
Maybe we will start cheating with more sense of urgency next year, maybe we wont. All I care about is taking as close to a full class as possible and building quality depth.

Interesting use of dots.....
And you aren't the only poster I've noticed lately to have subconsciously adopted the technique. In fact, it wont be long probably until posts without this multi-dot technique will be mocked and ridiculed as incoherent jibberish.
And....when this day comes, will I be remembered as the pioneer???
Of course not. Such is my plight.
Anyway..... Sorry...to...interrupt......

You can't cherry pick players who don't care about UGA.

I am very upset right now..
Understood, but know this, UGA isn't hurting for talent, and this year will be THE banner year in UGA's last 33.
If they wanted to play for UGA then they would have signed with us, players like Foster, he has always had a thing for Bama, and even tho he switched around, he wound up going to Bama. Adams never had UGA as his first choice, so how is that a loss?
Remember, Gurley was not as highly rated as Marshall, but he wanted to be here, and in hindsight, I think anyone from any recruiting agency in the country would have put a 5* rating on him if they knew then what they know now. The point is, you can't always go by ratings, get kids who want to be here and you will get their best, and most often, that is better than a 3/4 foster or tunsil, or adams.

smh...this is not good and doesn't bode well...so basically, this year, National Championship or bust...
As someone else stated, who really gives a damn? First thing you need to realize is that not everyone wants to go to a certain school...have you ever thought that they may not be a fan? Or are you one of those who always finds someone to blame for a perceived slight against you? But, the bigger question is, why do you let it bother you so much? Maybe the biggest question is, why are you so concerned about what an 18 year old does or doesn't do? When you realize that what happens has absolutely no effect on you, the better off you will be.
In the meantime, GO DAWGS!

The fact is this was a talent rich pool of players out of the state of Georgia. For UGA to wiff on the top talent is a sort of indicator of things to come. Saban, Creyer and now even the old ballsack can come in and grab our instate talent. It's another indication of coaching. Sad but true!

Once again, if someone wants to go to another school then they will...and there isn't anything outside of risking sanctions that can be done.

The point is they are going to other schools for reasons. It's not like they have some irrational hate for Georgia. Let's put it this way: if Saban was at UGA I'm sure we would have had the same level of recruits that Bama has been pulling in under Saban. It's not really the learning institution but rather the coaching staff at said institution. Ole Miss has done shite for many years yet they pulled in three 5 star recruits and the 7th ranked class because Freeze and his staff did a hellava job recruiting. We finished with a less than expected 12th ranked class because I staff did not pull any high profile recruits.

Well. That's about as big a bullshite oversimplification as you can make
HS kids "fanhood" has to rank in the lower categories of what brings them to a program.
It's about inroads at HSs with coaches. It's about relationships. It's about running a program that strives for greatness. And occasionally achieves it
It's about teaching kids to win. Not just how to sleep good at night.

I have used ellipses on the www since the AOL days of the mid 90's... It conveys a sense of conversation and allows for fragmented and run on sentences with no penalty...
I actually learned of the ellipses pre computer days at UGA from Bruce Schutt...
