We still have 19 kids rated as 4 star athletes by one service or another...it's not as bleak as you make it out to be.

We still have 30+ commits and 13 already enrolled, we just got stood up by a couple of big names on signing day. It's not like a bulk of the class was deciding today and we whiffed out leaving us with 15 commits.

Tell me exactly what happened today that we haven't already known for several days now.

Meh. The only one I'm truly pissed about not getting is Tunsil... he was a UGA lock until a week ago or so. The last few days have been extremely disappointing in missing out on some blue chips but this class still addressed a lot of defensive needs that will give us some depth, so it wasn't a total failure.

Not all that concerned about missing out on a running back. We will definitely go after one or two good ones next year when Gurley and Marshall will be juniors.

You smoking, We got a injury free 4* rb from florida. I bet in years to come we still beat ole miss and auburn by 25 points. And this year we win the NC

Why is everyone so apathetic when loosing the best in-state talent and pipeline talent to neighboring states? #don'tlike

Go ahead, make excuses...

what are we doing wrong?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!

In-state losses 13':
Carl Lawson
Montravious Adams
Robert Nkemdiche
Alvin Kamara
Tyren Jones
Demarcus Robinson
Rueben Foster
Tyshon Dye
Jaquay Williams
Vonn Bell
Kelsey Griffin
Toby Johnson (looks like we lost him)

Pipeline:
Matthew Thomas
Laremy Tunsil
Rueben Foster
Tyrone Crowder
Greg Bryant
Derrick Henry

I am very upset right now...

we SHOULD be freakin cherry pickin man!

With 4.6 non-breakaway speed. LINK Objectively, Turman is pretty small at 6' 200 lbs. and too slow for his 4 star ranking. Hopefully he puts on 20 pounds and turns out to be a bruiser between the tackles.

You are nuts.

Georgia got lots of good players, and some that will play right away, including junior college dudes. They fulfilled all their needs.

Many of their signings are 4 star players.

So called experts don't know the difference between 3 star, 4 star, and 5 star players. Nobody knows how these 18 year old kids will pan out.

Look at Texas. All the ratings services had them with top 5 classes 4 years in a row from 2008-2011. They are a very mediocre team.

We have no way of knowing how good a recruiting class this is until these kids hit field in the future.

I could argue with you and say Bama has had top 5 classes, LSU has had top 5 classes, and Florida has had top 5 classes, within that time span, and have been in National Championship contention yearly...ratings matter my friend, not all the time, but they matter...

Whoever thinks the omissions in this class are not an embarrassment to the program are delusional at best. Complete dumbasses at worst

That's not a slight on the future dawgs we picked up at all. But it is reality

It is extremely embarrassing the amount of in state talent we let go this year, in no way do I expect us to get all of it with all the good SEC schools so close to us but this year was pretty embarrassing. I'm still happy with the class overall but damn we left a lot on the table, I guess that's a fitting signing day considering its the same way we finished the season.

You do realize that out of ALL camps using laser times 40's, there were only about 8 kids that ran in the 4.40-4.45 range right? Everyone likes to hear about the kid that ran the 4.2 at camp but those are all hand timed and wildly inaccurate. A 4.6 40 is still NFL caliber speed.

Indeed...if we won the BCS we would not have missed out on all the superior talent in-state/pipeline...IMHO
