I mean, maybe they're referring to some of the teams in the small conferences who win they're conference tourney, or teams with losing conference records in the ACC or Big 12, but not us.
I think we need to win our next 5 games (if we get that far) to give us a chance.

I'm sorry...losing conference records. Sumter must not get ESPN in that county.

I'm going to get to the bottom of your dislike for Sumter county.

I have no idea why this phrase caught so much flak. We play LSU and Auburn at home, and Arkansas on the road. I mean, I don't think we're going to win out, but I'd probably put it at like a 25-30% chance
Nobody thinks it's impossible, it definitely is possible. But I think the "legit chance" is what made people laugh. We're 1-1 since our best player went down; lost at home to a great team and won on the road against an average team. LSU is trash so I think we all will expect to win there, we then play AU which is probably a tossup, then go to arkansas which is almost surely a loss. I wouldn't say we have a "legit chance" at besting that stretch.
Furthermore we haven't won 4 games in a row all season even during the OOC slate, I highly doubt we finish off the season winning 4 SEC games in a row without our best player. And really how many times in his 8 year career has Fox ever even won 4 games in a row anyway?

Get that rational line of thinking out of here. There's no place for it amongst what I imagine are posters directly related by blood or marriage to Mark Fox

IMO, Alabama was the best team all around on our schedule. I just really don't think very much of Arkansas. They beat a struggling South Carolina team who has lost like 3 out of 4. When we played USC they were pretty hot. LSU is an easy win and we should beat Auburn as well.

I agree that if we win out and get at least 2 in the SEC, we get in... I think the TV people like our team and I think that matters.
That is a tall order though... especially without Maten.

I can't hear typed words...if you can then you need to see a doctor. I would already advise you to seek a healthcare professional but this has become disclaimer.

You just said Alabama was arguably the best team on our schedule.
Maybe you meant remaining schedule, but that probably should have been clarified. There are 4 SEC teams making the tourney and Alabama is definitely not one of them.

I assume he meant remaining, but I would say Arkansas would be a tad better.

Redacted given clarification below. Still, @Arkansas is going to be our toughest test of these last 4 games so I can't say that I necessarily agree with the corrected assertion

Yes I meant remaining...sorry, we aren't getting much sleep in our house these days.

So, it seems to have a prayer of making the NCAA we'd have to beat Florida or Kentucky in the SECt.
I have a hard time seeing that happening, so in the meantime, is there anybody else we can ruin NCAA hopes for for a good lol?

If Arkansas wins today, they will be sitting comfortably on the bubble. If they beat Florida, they would be in and we could ruin it for them.
However, if they lose @Auburn today, our matchup with them would likely be for the 4 or 5 seed in the SECT

Arkansas is in the tournament. Definitely not on the bubble, unless they lose out, and then they still are probably in

One thing you also have to remember about the bubble is that it's going to get smaller when a mid-major lock loses their conference tourney to a team who wouldn't otherwise get in.
Posted on 2/25/17 at 2:01 pm to Dawgsontop34
Not much smaller though. There are like 3 instances at most where that could happen IMO
