Rumblings that he may transfer to the good guys, would give us needed experience at TE. He is a grad transfer from FSU for those unaware

Another reliable target for Newman. Wolf worked out well and this guy is better.

My question is do we not have any faith in Geode or Fitzpatrick. I mean they have 1 catch ever between the two of them but I wonder if the staff doesn’t have the warm fuzzies about them.

This ain’t to fault the move but more a question of what the board thinks about existing depth.

No inside information from me. But I think we are fine with those 2. One problem is that it is just those 2. Another problem is that there really isnt any leadership with experience to help them and Washington. The tight end room (every room for that matter) always needs leadership to help focus, technique, and to be in charge of the energy level.

I think it’s more about only having 3 TE’s, and if just 1 gets injured the position goes critically thin.

And, of course, the luxury of some veteran leadership to help coach up and discipline the young guys.

While we could use another experienced TE on the roster, are you guys forgetting about Brett Seither? We currently have 4 TEs on the roster. And he's probably the best pass catching prospect of the bunch, other than possibly Washington.

Especially if we're going to run double tight-end sets

I don't expect many double TE sets. Lots of spread coming. Even more than we use now.

How good is he? I know he was a 3 star back in the day but no idea of his productivity at FSU.

He had 23 & 26 receptions the past two years and averaged right at 10 yards per catch each year.

After we get a TE transfer...
counting the signees in this class, around 82....ish

Still gonna sign a handful. We'll be right at 85 with some solid PWO's as well.

He looks like he'll be a better version of Eli Wolfe.

Sure I'm mistaken and forgetful but those 49 rec for Tre seem like more than all of our TE's combined since about 2010...

Oops, forgot about Nauta...
