Still amazed how quick Cam was cleared after he was suspended for about 2 days...just in time for the Bama game.

We ALWAYS get the short end with the NCAA.

You could be right but I believe the charges were brought up before our game and then he was suspended the week of the Bama game and then reinstated...

My source told me you'd have good news Tuesday.

He didn't specify which Tuesday.

Since we have a Bye week, I doubt the NCAA will go out of their way to rush this through.

Busy bodies are like that. They probably already know their answer, but they get off on making you squirm waiting for them to issue their decrees from on high...........

They'll probably milk this opportunity to keep us in limbo for at least a few days.

He was suspended the week of our game, and the NCAA ruled with an uncharacteristic quickness. Ironically enough, it was speculated that $Cam's Heisman candidacy was partially what fueled the intensity of East Alabama Reform School's campaign.

UGA has been so proactive and careful with this that I suspect we already know the answer and the timing. It should be just a formality of paperwork and appropriate time windows at this point. I (being the optimist that I am) expect to see a lot of these by tomorrow.

Nope,suspended Nov 30th and reinstated Dec 1st
Our game was 2 weeks before that.

I think "Officially" Cam was reinstated in Dec, That is correct. But I think he was suspended by Auburn then allowed to play for our game.

No shite and the incredible interpolation of the NCAA rules. If a father isn't the agent of his son, then I don't know who is.

I would have thout that UGA lawyers would have known the answer before they asked for reinstatement. And they may. But I also thought that, once they petitioned, we'd get a response quickly. The longer it takes, the more complicated the answer must be. There might be additional games involved. I do think he'll be back on the field this season. Just when.

Richt said yesterday that he knew a week before the Arkansas game that Gurley was not eligible to play. I wonder if he already has heard back from the NCAA and is holding off to tell the public? He is probably holding up so Florida is not aware if he is coming back until right before the game.

No way in hell it wouldn't get leaked before then. This has been a PR nightmare for the AD; they want to get this behind them.

As soon as the school knows, we will know shortly after IMO.

I really don't think the stuff with Cam is over with. I think the FBI is still investigating Auburn. And after they are done the NCAA will step in.

This would be almost impossible to do. How we practice with Gurley would be dramatically different if we know he is starting. It would affect Chubb and others not to know. And if they know, it would leak out. We will know as soon as UGA hears back.
