Dasher also said he got 4 calls and emails yesterday from prominent folks (1 of which is a name everyone would recognize but he wouldn't divulge it) and almost all said it looked like Kirby.

Guy on a pay board, who yesterday broke the news about an offer being made, just said this thing is ending today. ACtually, could already be over and just waiting on confirmation, but that UGA fans will be happy.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if KS doesn't openly remove himself from contention by the end of the day then he's our guy.
No way he'd be stupid enough to lead the powers that be down this road twice and hope to ever have a viable shot at the HC role. If he's not interested he needs to be gracious and GTFO immediately before any more momentum builds.
The other alternative is that he already commmunicated this to the real power brokers but it hasn't gotten back to the message board chuds yet.

For an OFFICIAL announcement from UGA, yes. But that doesn't mean it can't be known beforehand. It's not like the potential candidate has to wait til friday to sign the contract.

Before an official announcement is made, yes. We will know who it is before hand because players and recruits will be informed and let the cat out of the bag.
