$550k, I believe. Somewhere in that neighborhood. Not enough to support the Jim Bob Duggar starter kit he's got going on...

A lot less than that. If Kirby comes aboard for that much, Bobo is getting a raise.

As well he should, since it would have been by sheer force of will and friendship that CMB would have gotten Kirby on board. If this works out they way most of us would like it to, Bobo bringing Kirby back to Athens is like Murray's 57 yard scramble against Tennessee this year to keep them game in reach.

The only reason I want Kirby more than any other coach is just to see the faces of the Bama fans who think he isn't going anywhere but to a HC position. (which unfortunately is prob true).

Most of them don't seem the least bit concerned with him being contacted by UGA> They are almost 100% certain he would never leave Bama for UGA.

If we get Kirby, I'm guessing we'll have the highest paid coaching staff in college football? Wouldn't you think that Bobo would get a huge raise?

Yes. And he deserves it. He's a great offensive coordinator.

I can't wait to have a staff full of prior Dawgs recruiting Georgia. Getting Kirby Smart would be the icing on my week. I would be fine with Pruitt as well.

I would think that Kirby would want to nip this in the bud ASAP if he's not interested so he doesn't permanently damage his chances at the HC job at some point in the future.

If he leaves us at the altar again he's going to have some Spaining to do....

I read last night that you should not look too much into that. The posting is because Grantham was the DC/LB's coach. It will be left up to whoever is hired as DC to fill the remaining spot and or spots.

Very odd with Kirk Olivadotti still on staff and the DB coach gone. As long as we don't pull that cheap BS and promote Kirk Olivadotti. I've seen it mentioned several places and that scares me.

Some new info from Soc:

It has been now mostly confirmed as I first mentioned 2 days ago.....Smart was offered 1.6 mill

Oh it is true or I would not have mentioned it, without the upmost confidence in the figure. Yes we are all in for Smart

Olivadotti is the #3 and could very well be #1 by Thursday. Alabama is prepared to meet anything UGA pays and Kirby and family feel pretty settled...though the thought of a lifetime in Alabama is frightening.

Pruitt? Forget it...just going to turn into a big pay-day for him from FSU.

If UGA goes with Olivadotti I will be eternally sad. The entire fanbase would be pissed. Horrible idea in general and reaks of money saving.

"All in" would be whatever it takes, short of head coach money obviously. If he wants 1.8, give him 1.8. If we lose smart due to a few hundred K, with our financial situation, it will be a travesty.

A hire like that is the kind of hire that ends up getting you fired as an AD or HC. Nothing against Olivadotti, but the program needs a jolt of life.
