Admittedly, I haven't had a chance to watch his film. That said, at 5'11", 170lbs, I'm having a hard time seeing how he came in as a 5 star. He may have all of the intangibles, but he lacks dominant receiver size. For those who have seen him in action (and I'll catch up when I can), what makes him elite and in the same class as guys like AJ Green or Julio Jones (as in a 5 star WR)?

He's extremely quick and explosive, and has better ball skills than any player in the country.

ETA: Not the same kind of player as AJ Green or Julio Jones. Think more like Steve Smith.

He's closer to 6'1 and will step in and automatically be a top 5 athlete on the team. And if I had to make a comparison, I would say Odell Beckham Jr. He just has a knack for making insane plays.

He's a 5 star and we should be happy because he won't be playing for Auburn or Alabama.

Calvin Ridley- 6'0" 170 (rated 98)
Speedy Noil- 5'10" 170 lbs (rated 100)
Jarvis Landry- 5'11" 190 lbs (rated 98)
Odell Beckham Jr.- 5'10 170 lbs (rated 96)
Marvin Bracey- 5'9" 165 lbs (rated 95)
Chris Black- 5'11" 175 lbs (rated 97)
Christian Kirk- 5'11" 190 lbs (rated 97)

All were top 10 WRs in their classes the past 5 years (and there are quite a few more) that lack "ideal" size. Two of them are making HUGE waves in the NFL right now.

Hmmmm....okay. That actually makes sense. I honestly never gave much thought to Beckham's size, but he's listed at 6'0", so that is legit. What about Percy Harvin?

Don't get me wrong; I'm thrilled to have the guy. There's a reason he's a consensus 5 star. I just generally expect to see that highly rated of a WR have the "prototypical size" trait.

For whatever reason, receivers are getting smaller and dbs are getting bigger. I'm still trying to put my finger on that.

More of a natural receiver than Harvin is. Not as fast or strong though. Harvin is a freak, pound for pound

Exactly. Almost every DB we took this year is bigger than the best WR we got (yet he's considered one of the best at his position, while they aren't so much).

Terry's favorite player is Tavon Austin which he said he plays a lot like also.

I don't think Godwin is as nearly as fast or quick as Austin, but Godwin is a much better receiver of the ball.

He runs like a cheetah and his hands look like that thing from alien that jumps out of the egg and grabs your face.

None of this really matters because he's going to play backup safety with Tramel Terry.

It's the Pruitt Way.

He's going to make a great tight end once we put 80 lbs on him.

Tramel Terry was the best WR we took in his class, and immediately moved him to DB, where he has barely seen the field outside of special teams.

I'm crazy?

Or you are a fricking moron?

I'll let the Dawgrant Decide.

You don't have to be 6' 3" if you can separate. He was killing everyone at whichever one of the all american types of games he played in. I recall him impressing even more than Preston Williams.

Tramel Terry also suffered an ACL injury and hasn't been the same since.
