Why does everyone think there’s something up with Swift? I seriously don’t get it. He’s our best back, and giving him limited carries while we blow everyone out is prob the smartest thing this staff could do right now to have him healthy for the meat of the schedule.

Because he hasn't played like our best back. Holyfield has been that so far this year.

Because of reports of the lingering groin issue, on top of this has been a really boring season so far so we have to create our own entertainment/controversies.

He has not looked nearly as explosive as he had last year, but has been shying away from contact unlike last year (Chauncey Gardner). He keeps trying to run to the outside and missing holes, where Holyfield will stick his nose in their and make a hole if one is not there.

Swift reads message boards, will run for 150 and 3 TDS against mizz

I can post bulletin board material for every game if that is the case

Sometimes you have to bake your own bread and ringmaster your own circuses.

I honestly think he is a bit injured and that Kirby is sandbagging....as in telling the media that he hasn't HAD to have many carries due to the opponent we were playing last week.

Whatever the case, something is up with him. Definitely not the same runner we saw last year.

He clocked in at 21.8 mph on the GPS vs Austen Peay, in comparison arguably the fastest player in the NFL Tyreke Hill clocked in the exact same speed on a PR for 6 week 1.

He's had a tape around his upper thigh and moving slower than normal in practice. Smart can keep playing games like an NHL manager, but it's pretty obvious that Swift's not been 100%.

If we could get by without him entirely tomorrow, might be the best thing for him and the team. If it's a groin strain, especially higher grade, full recovery could take awhile.

People read this and think, "yeah, this isn't far from true. I'll give an upvote."

Then they read this...

Backs have to get in to a groove and we have not allowed him to carry enough to get in the groove.

We did let Holyfield have the bulk of carries and low and behold he got in the groove . Chubb and Michele niether were burners they just made adjustment to get in the end zone, Holyfield will develop that as well. He should have stayed in the middle and stiff armed the piss out of the DB with an angle that caught him. DROB and Cook haven't looked like burners either but as they get stronger they will be, Hearst was the same way, he got caught from behind as a freshman and swore it would never happen again, it didn't.

What others said about Holyfied. Holyfield runs like he is trying to maul people. Even Herrien is getting in on the act. Herrien laid the hardest hit on a SC back that I saw in that game. Injury of whatever the reason Swift has not looked good.
