We're definitely going to have to open things up more against Oky. Despite their O struggles, they still have a stout D. I'd say there is still some TE plays we haven't seen yet.
Hope Frazier isn't too banged up. Just watching him yesterday me and my crowd was all commenting on how quick he hits the hole. Phillips may have more of a straight line speed but Frazier has the best burst of all of the RBs.
If our secondary isn't the best in the nation, I want to know who's is. We got some real talent back there and Barnes has only made it better. That's gonna bode well when we play against ol Chambliss down the road.

I've been impressed with Peal the freshman RB.
May not be ready with he playbook but I have never been super bullish on Peanut being more than a gadget guy against much less talented teams. Would like to see Peal get more of his reps going forward.

I'm pretty sure that Kirby knows why he did that. Whatever the reason, I don't believe it was Kirby's hard headed refusal to pass the football. And I'm as close to certain as I can be in a quantum universe that Kirby knows we can't win a championship running yesterday's offense exclusively. Finally, I'm skeptical that any fan could believe Kirby would intentionally choose to execute a game plan that's an obvious "detriment" to his team's future success.

I don't have a problem with opinions on message boards, or criticism. When an anonymous poster on a Georgia message board says that Kirby Smart executes game plans to the detriment of his team and ends up "biting us for at least one loss", my opinion is that their opinion is an absurd overestimation of their own abilities and/or understanding of the situation.

The knock against Barnes coming in was that he wasn't physical enough. Must've been a Clemson thing, because that sonofabith has been blowing people up. This is the deepest we've been at safety in years. Still worried about depth at cornerback however. If you are ranking the players we can least afford to lose, Robinson and Demello are definitely top 5, if not #2 and #3 behind Gunner.

Have you not been reading? The 2nd, 3rd and possibly the 4th string Qbs are better than Gunner. He is just a game manager*

I agree. Gunner has more touchdown passes than incompletions this season, but if he was worth a damn he'd have 4 times as many touchdown passes as incompletions.

I like that Gunner is pulling it and getting first downs.... when it's nut cutting time, I will take a QB who keeps the chains moving, especially on 3rd.

He looks so much quicker and his vision is so much better when he's running this season. He's graduated to the point where he's setting up the next defender after he makes the first one miss. Gunner will make folks miss!

few times last season gunner threw down field in low probability when he could have run for the first on 3rd.... Keep getting those first downs anyway possible

You are correct.
This week will tell us a lot about the plans at tailback and usage going forward.
It isn't inconceivable that the #2 back handles passing downs and money downs (3rd and <7).
I would argue that this could be the preferred approach (Sony Michel, Keith Marshall, Kendall Milton. All were considered multi-tool 3 down backs out of high school) whether it is successful or not. That is how we used to recruit in the past.
Oklahoma will be a good test for our offense. I am glad that this game is at home.
