Yep. You nailed it. Aside from a couple games as interim play caller after Jax fired Urban late in the season, the last time this nepotism hire called plays was the year he got Mark Richt fired at UGA over a decade ago

Jerry Jones is an ancient old fart and he's jealous of his players. Each year the team is intentionally sabotaged. Jones doesn't want any player or coach to eclipse his own star. Shittenheimer found his ideal spot.

He did a lot of squatting, like if he squats, his plays might work. This dude is the worst coach to ever offensive coordinator coach at UGA. Squats down. And the Cowboys hired him as their head coach.
