Well….all the lipstick we keep putting on the pig won’t cut it anymore. Just tear it down and build a new one like Auburn did FFS

"Safety is the University's top priority, the building will remain closed until the necessary repairs have been completed," UGA Assistant Vice President Greg Trevor said. "We do not know how long that will take at this time. The university has begun notifying groups that have reserved the coliseum and has advised them to find alternate locations."

Too bad Classic Center has already broken ground on their downtown arena. Would’ve been ideal to partner on a nice modern facility in walking distance to bars and restaurants…

Sounds like the concrete is giving up, not an easy fix in a place that can get loud.

Wrigley for years had signs for watch for falling concrete.

Back when there was the stage on one end with the livestock pens outside.

I turned to my buddy and I said, "Hey, where are the Allman Brothers?"

Wonder how long ago the last rodeo was?

Played racketball in their Freshman year and gave my buddy a black eye that lasted for weeks.

Also snuck through the bars and walked up top. Saw Shaq dunk there. Never saw any concerts.

Geez. Bring in the wreckers. Play games in Atlanta for the next few years. Build a basketball Taj Mahal.

Do. It.

It’s been a pretty well visited venue over the years. Just old as shite.

I saw Mikhail Gorbachev give a speech there. That was the most people I’d ever seen in the Coliseum at one time. After it was over, him and his security detail tore out the back doing 60 down Carlton Street.

Great stories. I saw Bob Dylan there. Still one of the worst concerts I've ever seen. We climbed(slid)up to the top of the roof back in the early 90's. That was a pretty scary experience. The story that went around is that someone road a motorcycle up those ramp pillars. It's a lot better now than it was in the 90's but it's still a dump.

I'm guessing many people have, or have at least tried, but it's a fact that Jake scott is the most notable and most notorious for doing so.
