I thought Blaylock and Kearis looked good. Arian Smith too. But we need some growth from the younger players.

CB looked better than I expected. S and LB need some reps

Thought Blaylock looked like he had trouble with full strides? A gimp in his giddy up.

Glad Beck is proving to be a capable back up.

Beck was going against the #2 defense. That adds to the analysis of who looked good and who looked stellar.

A lot of passing and I was a little surprised at that. Kirby probably knows what he has on D against the run.

I may have over reacted. My Stet Winwood thread bombed hard, so i was just kind of desperate to get some attention. Sike! I can already feel the complacency and sense of non-urgency on here. Its palpable.

93 popped the most for me. Gives me hope the DL can hold it's own.

The SCdawg guy talking up Stet in those threads is amusing.

Here’s the Warren Zevon version: LINK…..

Its crazy. The Winwood version is so mild and positive vibes like driving with the windows down. The Zevon version is sad as hell. Like contemplating things while getting dressed to go to a funeral. But its the same damn song

Too many chances for injuries or concussions with run game. Kirby said that's why they were pass heavy.

Not sure it was mentioned elsewhere but I LOVED that the black team jerseys were just regular "normal" jerseys that happened to be black in color. The ones we wore twice in 2020 had the new secondary logo on the shoulder and the spikes around the collar which really looked lame, IMO. These Saturday looked super sharp. I'd love to see us wear them once this year. Best bets for that would likely be vandy or tech, either would be fine with me.

Really thought MRJ looked sharp. His size and strength is unique among the WRs, and seemed to be featured early on. I think he's going to be more involved in '22.

Amen. I didn’t like how the red pants throwback was a true throwback with the only real change being the commemorative patch, but the black jersey throwback was almost a complete redesign compared to the 2007 unis they were based on.

The black jerseys need to just be a straight copy of the red jerseys, just with a color palette swap.

exactly. And now that we've worn em a handful of times plus won the natty I'm hoping the mojo will be off them and kirby will break them out more. I still don't understand why we can't designate a particular game of hte year (whether that's last home game, first night game, whatever) similar to what LSU does with their puprles so that it takes any "fake juice" element out of the equation. Those jerseys are way too good looking to not be worn yearly.

Yep, and it doesn't hurt with recruiting. The kids seem to love getting their pics taken with the black jerseys but we haven't worn them very much.

I think the format hurts both Stet and BVG. Both of them can take of and run for a twenty yard first Down. Carson Beck being more of a statue and pure passer playing against the twos on D is at a huge advantage. So nothing can be said definitively about who’s the better player in that room.
