Should we just expect skill players to leave after 3 years?

No.

But I don't take offense to redshirts leaving after 4 years. I didn't stay in school just for the heck of it when I got my diploma. I dont blame kids for making the same decision.

I imagine its going to get worse. Swift, for example, he's sitting out the bowl game and pretty much didn't look like he was "into" the game saturday. No word if he really was banged up or just pussing out.

Swift said that if it wasn’t the SECCG he wouldn’t have played due to injury and he looked it. I’m not going to disparage the kid for putting up back to back 1000 yard seasons for us and being a weapon for us in 2017. Not his fault he had 0 support from his receivers or QB, I don’t blame him for being frustrated. He should have had every expectation for a huge year and his coaches and teammates failed to provide the opportunities needed to make that happen

Swift still had a big year.

Anyone knocking his effort or commitment to the Dawgs needs to look in the mirror and check their commitment.

Swift is a dgd.

I think he played his arse off for 12 games and got frustrated and said “frick this offense.” I don’t blame him for not wanting to risk his future by playing at 80%-90% in the shite show of our offense.

It's a business now, like it or not. Money is too big and a kids window to get his in the NFL is too small to risk injury for the good of ole college "U"...

Unless my team was a playoff team, I'd do the same...

If they are really good, then yes. Some leave when they should get another of college ball experience.
