I think he's great. He's not Larry, nobody ever will be. But I think he's great.

He’s good. Sometimes I think he gets into the yelling too much (for not important enough plays), but when I listen around to other radio guys in the SEC, I can’t think of any active ones I’d really rather have than him.

He is as good as we could have gotten to replace Munson.

If I’m being serious, he’s fine. There isn’t really a distinct voice in CFB announcing anymore (Eli Gold has a distinct sound but he’s a medicore PBP guy with little creativity). Scott at least gives a shite and conveys that without falling headlong into the Mick Hubert parodying of himself

This seems to be his biggest flaw for sure. Otherwise, as durds said... He's fine at worst. Sometimes even good. We're a pretty good way removed from great radio broadcast voices now unfortunately.

In basketball, I agree. But on radio, that sport kinda needs some over-the-topness.

In football, he's not over the top. I think he's the right amount of intensity.

I find myself syncing the tv to Scott and Co. more and more. He's definitely not Larry, but I think he does a pretty dang good job and knows more about UGA than anyone else calling the games. Somewhat nostalgic feeling doing it that way.

Although not in the SEC,Gene Deckerhoff is as close as it gets to the old school guys.

Too bad he's stuck with that shite show team.

The actual quote was “Scott Howard sucks, Munson forever”

But then accuracy and detecting hyperbole never has been your strong suit

I literally just fact checked myself and came back in to correct it, but you caught me first. I guess I suck. Do I suck worse than Scott Howard?

yelling seems to be the trend - gotta entertain the younger generation because they don't want to think it through

Who cares, Radio was once a big deal until video killed the radio star.

I’ve always held that Wes Durham was the best play by play guy that I’ve heard outside of Munson

We could do worse. At least you can tell he’s passionate about Georgia.
