Initial thoughts were Schuman or Kiffin?

Why would Bama want Kiffin?

Saban will work part time, from home, as an analyst for Kirby. He'll moonlight for ESPN.

I believe Lanning has a 20 million buyout right now. If I was Lanning, I'd stay my arse right where he is.

I'm pretty sure Monte is retired.

He must be thinking of his boy, Lane.

It’s almost too perfect and poetic that the greatest of all time bows out the last year before the 12 team playoff nonsense and as NIL reaches peak absurdity.

As we get older and greyer, the Saban era will be looked back on as the golden age. So glad I got to live through it. Future college football fans will never know or understand what this sport once was.

I really thought he was going to give it a run at the 12 team but I kinda saw this coming when he told Kirby on a hot mic before the sec game “you’re right I am getting too old for this”.

If no Saban, we probably win in 2012.

If no Saban, we almost certainly don't get Kirby.

On balance . . . #ThanksSaban

Crazy, man if no Saban we would have a NC in 12, 17, 18, and 23. The only guy I can think of they go after is Lanning. I just don't think Sark or Kiffin can fill his shoes. Even Lanning is a stretch. Dabo's stock is way down. Does Bama try to lure Urban Meyer out of retirement?

They're saying Lanning is #1 on the list.

Kinda glad Schuman is too young, TBH.

I thought about that. Problem is in 17-23 we likely don't have Kirby, so there's no way to know what everything would look like.

If that had happened, Richt wouldn't have been fired, and UGA wouldn't have Smart.

Reading the Bama board, one of the Gumps refers to UGA as "mulliUGAn"

Not just 2012.

2003, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2023 as well. All potential championship seasons derailed by a loss to Saban.

Smart wouldn't have been here for those seasons.
