This one surprises me a little. Obviously some young talent coming in behind him but he’s been in the scheme for 5 years.

Been here 4 years and never started a game, and after Spring he figures he will still be a backup, why not test the waters in the portal? The portal transfers that irritate me are the 1 and done or even the 2 year players that think they should be starters just because they think they should be starters.

Agree ..I just try and believe it opens space for improvement. If we can pull in somebody from portal jn a greater area of need then we are better off.

He’s a solid player surrounded by blooming stars. It is what it is. Go somewhere preferably not in the SEC and ball out.

I read something recently saying there's an SEC rule that after a certain date in Feb, you can't transfer to another SEC school through the portal. I don't know if true, but I read it here and have been repeating it. So assuming that's true, he won't be at an SEC school unless he sits out a year.

I dont blame him or guys like him for going somewhere where they can get more playing time and more exposure.
He's stuck around a few years and done his time . It's not like he's a freshman whining about competing for playing time.
