Screw him, I honestly think he would've taken Fromm's job at some point had he stayed. He has a higher ceiling, he just needed a year to learn the system.

Don't think we lose to LSU if he had never came. It just seemed so forced.

Agreed. This is a dumb decision on his (and his dad's) part. Martell has 2 years in the playbook and there's a rookie HC there. Who does he think Ryan Day is going to play?

Did you watch the LSU game? Trying to blame that on Fields is ridiculous.

Yep, taking Fromm in and out all season and in that game hurt our continuity on O and we had not gelled because of it.

This. Fields can’t read a defense to save his life. Best of luck, now hurry and go.

I hope Mathis is good and we get another QB in 2020... I’m still a little salty tbh... We essentially traded a talent for another potential Ramsey.

I'll take Hoover's OB Robby Ashford who is committing in March.

I hate to lose the kid, but I get it...he thinks he should start even though he didn't beat out Fromm in practice...makes total sense.

Or better yet Kirby is a racists liar and held the kid back after promising him the moon.

OR the parents are making him leave.

So much dumbass info out there and it is 100% hurting our school and team even though 99% is bullshite.

The kid just doesn't wanna wait and earn his spot...he wants it given to him and it aint gonna happen at UGA.

I just hope he goes to Ohio State and absolutely sparks out. Sorry not sorry.

He's going to sit out a year there and then be the backup again. He could have done that here. Regardless, good riddance to bad rubbish.

There are reports from Ohio State that the coaches have openly made it known they were not sold on Martell. Fields will start from day one up there. No question.
