I think it’s more like you get in an argument with someone at your house or even theirs and because you’re the bigger stronger person (IDK if this is a male or female victim) you don’t let them leave until they talk to you, say they’re sorry, give you money they owe you, or whatever the situation. They then call the cops and say hey this guy hit me and won’t let me leave.

Yea, my basic understanding is it's depriving someone of freedom to leave and making sure they don't leave where you want them. Locking in a house, tying them up, etc.

Yea. Ultimately, on a personal level, I think this is something Rara could plead down or get through with relatively light legal recourse, but I don’t think Kirby will be very understanding nor should he. He’s not some young dumb freshman. And he just got here.

I love these kind of statements when we have no details and the guy is obviously in a unique situation.

Do you really need to see every poster add “If this is true” to these kinds of statements? Obviously I don’t expect Kirby to be told that he’s been arrested on xyz and him dismiss him immediately. But yes, if Kirby meets with him and this whole story is true then I don’t expect the same leniency we sometimes see with younger players.

If it’s within the family… not man vs women in general… Charges are often dropped or lowered. Holding at will could have meant he was possibly trying to protect or discipline and he got the cops called on him.

I don't need anything. What I'd like is for people in general to stop throwing out statements and opinions on things when they don't know anything about the person or subject at hand.

Then why the heck do you bother posting here? Especially in the offseason. That’s 90% of what this place is. I never claimed to know what happened. I’m just speculating, which again, is primarily what you’re going to get in a thread on topics like this.

Probably back and forth slapping and she claimed he wouldn't let her leave.

Never at this fine institution has someone done so much in such a short period of time to deserve to be sentenced to serving his time at Auburn University....

Hoping it's just something like leaving his brother locked in the house/apt and the neighbors overreacting and calling the cops.

Me too... But shame on the Police especially UGA police if that is all this is. Common sense would sort that out without national headlines.

Worried about transfers not meeting the standard that has been set.

Athens CCPD hates UGA football players. They are probably more butthurt we've won B2B natty’s than any of our rivals.

I won’t be surprised if Rara was trying to prevent his little brother from going out on a drunken stooper, they got in a fight over it, woke up the neighbors due to thin walls in the apartment, neighbors called the cops, and after his brother simply mentions that his big bro “was a meanie who wouldn’t let me leave to go be an irresponsible shithead”, the cops took that as an opportunity to slap a UGA football player with a felony charge.

Anything those pricks can do to escalate something and frick our team they will try.

Won’t be shocked when the brother says he didn’t mean it the way the cops laid it out, and it was just big bro really lookin out for his little bro and it got heated in the process.

when jimmy williamson was running things it would be comical how badly they hated athletes if it wasn't so infuriating. I think him no longer being there along with kirby running things instead of richt has really brought us in line with how many other big boy programs run. I feel like we don't hear nearly as much of the petty routin bullshite that we used to.

In this particular case I don't really think the PD is to blame, I mean when they get the phone call about this thye kinda have to go do their job with it

They definitely follow the police mantra of charge high to settle lower.
