I'll certainly have to agree, that I was fully expecting Sanford to be Our New OC.I had forgotten the fact that Pop Eason Played at Notre Dame,so it Fired-Me up to think Tony Eason might have some Swag with Notre Dame still,I'm about to start searching every bit of Information I can Find-Out about the Man.

I don't think you know how fricked you guys are yet.
If you thought Schotty was bad on 3rd and 1...this dude is clueless.
He ditched the spread when he went to the NFL. Has had good but never great offenses since he returned to college. More 9-3 in UGAs future with this guy.

We got a proven OC that has been doing it for a long time. People were looking for a splash hire and Kirby was looking for someone that has a playbook and a plan that has proven to work in the past. It wasn't a sexy hire from some up and coming coach it someone who has ran spread and pro style in the past and done fairly well with it. Now, it may or may not have been the best hire or what everyone wanted but at the same time he's a good coach and has been in the game along time. I like the hire personally and I remember his 2012 offense very well.

I'll admit I was salty as frick this morning but I've mellowed to this all. I'm not thrilled at all but ultimately it can work. Nuss and even McElwains offenses were bitched about back in the day. It's not sexy but if the OL coach and Chaney can dominate TOP then we'll be good.
Guess it's fitting that UGA fans always hate their OC

Truthfully, who is running the best offense in the conference right now? Lane Kiffin at Bama? Everyone has been either meh or bad this year outside of Bama

We needed an OC that would put up points with what we've got and Chaney can do that.
What gives you that idea? Check out the schedules for when he was at TN and ARK....it ain't pretty.
Of course he's never beaten FL so I guess he'll fit right in.

And he was bashed like a motherfricker when Bama hired him and everyone laughed at Bama.
If your offense has the horses then it will make an OC look good. His 2012 offense had horses and it looked good.

I'm guessing he'll call plays from the booth. Probably will be up there for practice too.

I don't recall anyone bashing that hire because of his skills as an OC, but rather his history as a HC.
Vastly different.

Oh no...some of us are of the opinion that being good prior to 2005 is not the same as being good now, and if it's ok to have coaches who were good a decade ago, and going 9-3 is ok, we may as well have kept what we had.
We do have a strong contingency of turd polishers though. They are under the impression that Kirby can do no wrong at the moment. I hope this turns out to be true but, my "holy shite. This is worse than Schotty" alarm is going off at the moment.

Look people, it's gonna come down to QB play. If UGA has better than average production, this team will be fine. If we see the same incompetent shite we saw this past season, it'll be the same ole shite, different administration.

I agree, I think this is a very solid hire, and if you look around most analysts are agreeing. The combo of Chaney/ Pittman is very exciting.

I fricking hate this hire. I really thought Kirby would bring in a chad morris type. Innovative, uptempo, rising star. but we fricking get charlie Weiss' cousin
Ill just be honest here. I loath fat fricks. despise them
