The reason that bill got shot down back in 2005 or so is because it required ID's that cost money and it was in violation of the Equal Protection Clause.

I'm certainly not arguing for extremely relaxed voter ID laws, its incredibly easy to get one now and in states that they are free to get it is even easier. I agree with most of what you said in that quote, there really shouldn't be much of an excuse in most situations for not having one but people don't and those who don't predominantly vote Democrat.

Dude. You really need to educate yourself on how elections work and how votes within states effect the electoral college. News flash - it's not the populations in the states that decide the electoral votes, it's the precincts.

I watched the video. It was also very clear that he turned down the offer to create this program and then ran against the guy who begged him to do it 6 years later.

He did absolutely create the program and handed it over to his boss and then resigned shortly after. He even SHOWED US exactly how it worked. He did a full demonstration of how all the pollsters had to do once all the votes were in and they were on each district final tally page was click on two letters and the 51/49 change immediately took place. It showed it plain as day.

And conveniently, you skipped over the CNN video and HBO documentary which both showed how Gore's votes were going in as negative numbers when the pollsters fed the paper ballots in several districts through the counting machines.

Fraud happened that allowed Bush to win instead of Gore. It's absurd to not consider this significant.

He created the program but it was never used. He created the program to show how easy it was. He passed a polygraph that showed that he was not aware of his software ever being used in the election.

The vote total here so far (26-26) shows that there are a lot of delusional people posting here.

BTW, everybody knows Voter ID laws are an excuse to keep black people from voting. Has nothing to do with fraud whatsoever, and I hope nobody here actually makes that ridiculous claim. The politicians who passed these laws to supposedly stop voter fraud have often been caught admitting it was to reduce African-American participation in voting.
