Honestly, I recently started to wonder whether or not I was a good poster or a shite poster, or where I was in the spectrum. It's a weird thing to think about, but I did. And have been, for a few days. Then, just now, you come along.

My homes in Athens were creswell, river mill, mi casa, and Bridgewater.

I don't know if you remember Mrs. Garrett at Mi Casa, but she died this year.

I was her maintenance man back in the 70's. Gave me a reduced rent and always paid me a minimum of two hours even if it took fifteen minutes (i.e. replacing a stove element). Nice lady.

I never lived at Russell (only River Mill).

But wasn't that Gumbys by Russell? The home of the study buddy $4 pizza?

don't know if it's the same lady but Patti Bernstein was the woman there when I was, and she definitely seemed like she'd been there a while. Nice lady although she hated my roommate although he mostly brought that on himself. I woudl see her at games several years after we moved out and we would always chitchat.

Lived there in 94. Building in the back closest to the pool. Great view of the shoals on the river from my porch.

The pool was always deserted whenever we'd go. On weekends there would always be a huge pool party at some other complex but river mill's was never much going on.

Our place was about the closest one you could be to the fence opening leading out to the railroad tracks/campus. If you walked out of our breezeway that fence opening was directly in front of you. Loved that place.

O'Malleys would open on game days at 8(?) am for $1 Mimosas and Bloody Marys with free bagels. When my parents came to a game they would wake me up after 3 hours of drunken sleep. On really good weekends they would wake my drunk arse up with a random girl next to me

Best memory of Russell was figuring out a system for the 300-odd fire alarms every year. One of our group would run across to the gas station and get cold Sprite or 7-Up, one guy would set up cups ice and vodka or gin, and someone else would grab snacks. Turned everything into an impromptu tailgate.

First year living at River Mill, at night, you could always hear a rodent chewing wood somewhere in our apartment. One night, I'm out in the living room watching tv, and I hear my roommate - who had been sleeping in his bed - yelling like crazy. I go in to his room, and he's sitting up in his bed, punching the sheets.

He'd felt something furry run across his body while he was asleep. We search the room and end up finding a hamster from some previous tenant. It had been chewing on his bed frame at night.
