says the sheep guessing 1M deaths in the US this year from Coronavirus

of the 5,050 active cases in the US, 12 are in serious or critical condition.....

LINK

China meanwhile has only 8,940 active cases left and starting to go back to business as usual...

How can they return to normal if there are still 8,940 cases out there??? Won't those 9k people start it back up again??? Oh, they had only 20 new cases reported and still less than 81,000 total...for a population of 1.38B

So, throwing your bullshite media hype out, thats .0005% of their population.

Based on math...how many Americans will get it?

Why is Trump buying into the media hype?

He has too...he knows that there are people's votes he needs, that are buying into the hype and can't afford to lose them by not adhering to what Fauci is saying. HHS, NIH and CDC are under his belt, so he has to play this one the way he is

Because ultimately when the death toll reaches 3000 and the media says "This has now surpassed the death toll of September 11th while the president did nothing" it will hurt his re-election. It doesn't matter that 3000 deaths is still a fraction of what the regular flu kills every year.

Thats not a Trump play. Trump doesn’t let Russian Hookers piss on him, he pisses on Hookers. If Trump thinks it is bullshite, he is calling it bullshite.

Ok then maybe he truly delegated 100% of this to Pence and whatever Pence says, gos. And Pence is worried about re-election too. So it's a Pence play.

I've been a Trump supporter since his election. Due to his policies and not his persona. But I think those that are saying this is overblown and is politically motivated are way off base. Those same people are obviously very stubborn and not willing to look at the many different sources that say this thing is dangerous. But perhaps one from Foxnews, a site with pro Trump slant, might help.

FoxNews is spewing the media hype too. Trump is bending the knee to his CDC, NIH, and others. Our knowledge comes from actually listening to the experts, discerning the fear and jerk-off session from fame and media hype, to the statistics that are out there and comparing it to any and all viruses out there today. You have shitheads on here talking about 1M or more deaths this year.....Only 999,919 to go after 58 days of it in the US

What experts are you listening too? Epidemiologists paint a bleak picture. Data scientists that have analyzed the numbers paint a bleak picture. So, I honestly want to know, what experts are you listening to?

The obvious most recent comparison is with the Swine Flu H1V1 virus in the Spring of 2009. Obama did not declare a national emergency until after 1000 had died in the U.S. The total number of deaths roughly a year later was over 12,000.

There was no media hysteria and public shutdowns like what we are seeing this time around. Obama's paltry economy rolled right along. There were no massive stock market crashes as a result of H1V1. There were no mass school and business closures.

Calculated or not, liberal progressives are hoping against hope that our devastated economy will be enough to get Trump voted out of office. And the truth is the economic impact of this overreaction will likely lead to more hardship than the virus though there is no easy way to measure that aspect and the news media will damn sure never admit to the impact of the hysteria.

Trump doesn’t bend the knee to anyone... that is literally why he is so popular. It is his core schtick. At this point, I’m disappointed that y’all aren’t calling out Trump for being complicit in the alleged media conspiracy that has shut down damn near every 1st world country on the globe. You got to give it to the media. Who would have thought they had enough power to lead every 1st world leader willingly into certain economic catastrophe?

It's not just the death rate. It's how contagious it is and how fast it is growing and the hospitalization rate. Large numbers of hospitalizations will increase the death rate and is happening in Italy. This is what we are trying to avoid. Prior to the social distancing efforts, total cases were doubling about every 2 days. If that pace keeps up, the numbers get huge very, very fast. Let's hope the social distancing really slows the growth.

The article contradicts itself.

It says that the mortality rate is determined by how we respond to it.
But that is not how mortality rates work.

Is the corona virus serious? Yes.
Is it more serious than the flu (40k dead in a year)? Many say yes but they also say that we dont know the facts. And they confirm that the mortality of 3-6% was untrue because of the response in those areas. And likely, the mortality of 1% could be untrue as well

Panic is the proper word. This is a panic of epidemic proportions.

The great news is that this will probably be the best flu season in recent history. Thousands of lives will have been saved at the expense of the economy, jobs, and potential.

I would contend that they don't know what the fatality rate is at this point.
"If 40 million Americans get the new coronavirus, a 1 percent fatality rate means 400,000 deaths."

Yea, wake me up when 400 thousand Americans have died from the coronavirus. 1 person, that's right 1 has died from the coronavirus so far in Georgia. Many states have had zero deaths so far.
There have been no deaths in:
Massachusetts
Pennsylvania
Florida
Louisiana
Tennessee
Wisconsin
Michigan
Minnesota
Ohio
Texas
Alabama
Arizona
Connecticut
the list goes on....

Not getting into the overall thing but there have been several deaths in Florida. We’ve had 2 here where I am.

I think the point of this is preventing that many people from dying...
