Trump's statements about COVID-19 are neatly listed here in order, beginning January 22 and running through March 10. WHO declared the outbreak a global pandemic on March 11. Trump's statements about COVID-19
At a minimum, any objective person reading through these statements would have to question either his intelligence or his honesty.

Dude think about this shite before you just believe people. Eliminate the first year when the economy was in tailspin and you get 2.6 annually, which is higher than the average for the current administration.
Gow does that change this?
Average gross domestic product (GDP) growth since the bottom of the recession in 2009 was barely above 2.1% per year. The average since 1949 is well above 4% per year during the previous 10 expansions.
I thought you guys didn't like whataboutisms? Yet now you want to bring in Trump? But...but...but...what about Trump?
However, if you want...at least Trump had a full quarter of 4% plus. Remind me when Obama's went above 2.5%?
Then you have to facor in this....they are still in place because the Dems are fighting tooth and nail to keep them:
I believe the root cause of abysmal growth is the huge tax increases imposed by Obama and the Democrats in Congress since 2008. The most harmful were the increase in the capital gains tax from 15 to 20 percent, the increase in top bracket income from 35 to 39.6 percent, and the new tax of 3.8 percent on investment income in the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The massive increase in regulatory burden through the ACA and Dodd-Frank bills are also crushing, but unfortunately are harder to measure.
Did you even read the article? The factors that continue to put a drag on the economy were put in place by the Dems.
Odd, you guys just hate it when you get a hit piece done against you, yet you see example after example done to the current sitting President and claim it doesn't exist.....even when left leaning journalists are caught on tape admitting and conspiring to it.
quote:
Fact: Most current economic trend numbers are either identical or even slightly worse.
Mind posting those? Why are you guys so scared of links backing up your claims?

an imbecile president some people are just determined to like for no good reason.
You talking about Obama?

No he didn't. We have given you full context several times in this thread. Nobody but leftists believe that....and even some leftist have admitted that was not what he said.

Yeah. Very similar to Hillary Clinton saying he should concede and then she refused to. And Obama and Hillary laughing and sayign there was no way the election was beinf influenced by other ountris, then after Trump was elected it was al Rusians, Russians, Russians.

This is what I'm talking about. I'm not here to argue with you because you don't know shite. That's not an insult. Just because people try to shove something stupid down your throat doesn't mean you have to swallow.
FYI: (Just to be charitable.) This first of many such quarters was in 2010. So was the second. . . and the third. I just told you the average was over 2.5 after removing 09', and you don't even understand that typical quarterly growth has to be over that as well?
You are what's wrong with the internet. People hop on these incel circle jerk boards you can find everywhere and nobody ever let's them know they sound like fricking idiots.
Also Stop trying to get me to defend Obama or any president. You don't have to be liberal to understand Trump is missing-a-chromosome dumb.

So it wasn't the slowest economic recovery in US History?
Because it was.
Obama gets credit for the largest stimulus plans and the slowest recovery. But hey... he can claim recovery. Amirite?

I think it's very conceivable that if Trump lost, especially a close election, he would claim that millions of illegal aliens voted (exactly as he tried to do so with that fake commission, as way to explain his loss of the popular vote in 2016). Or he'll come up with something else. He's already shown that he plays very loose with the Constitution. ?
Can you actually imagine Donald Trump ever actually admitting that he lost -- even if he did? I can't!
He can say whatever he wants. He can't refuse to leave office. That's your amazingly huge disconnect from reality. It's the same disconnect some people were having saying Obama wouldn't leave office and it was equally absurd then.

My wife got her antibody test this morning - negative. I don't believe it.
Posted on 4/27/20 at 10:23 am to deeprig9
Did she get that voluntarily, or was it provided as a frontline worker, etc?
I haven't been following our local CV thread

Anyone can get antibody test in GA now. You still have to make an appointment, but you don't need a doctor referral.
I'm sorry, I don't have a link. She went to Watkinsville for the test, but they ran out, so she drove to Madison and got it. They are set up all over the place.

Interesting. May have to look for options in Cobb. Mrs. Vox and I are convinced that over the holidays, on into the end of Jan. we had a persistent URI that our doctors couldn't pin down.
Posted on 4/27/20 at 10:42 am to VoxDawg
Starting tomorrow and running for a week, Fulton County and DeKalb County are going to randomly select houses and ask for volunteers to test for the antibody. This will lead to a much better understanding of the actual spread by randomizing the participants, rather than just getting people who thought they might have had it because of a slight symptom

Is that supposed to be your big gocha moment? Why do I picture you with this smug look on your face like that isn't completely obvious?
Of course it it was a completely shitty recovery. Reading numbers isn't a fricking magic trick.
These people aren't idiots for recognizing that the Obama economy was luke warm; they're idiots for seeing the exact same (or worse) numbers (except for a balooned deficit) and now calling it a miracle economy.
And they're complete effing morons for compounding on that misstep by using said make-believe, "miracle economy" to justify support for what everyone on the planet save for their corner the US political landscape recognizes as a complete fricking fraud and the biggest idiot ever to be elected president of the United States.

Oh, really?
According to data released by the Commerce Department Friday morning, U.S. GDP has climbed to 4.1 percent, finally breaking through years of Obama administration stagnation.
ROARING: GDP Climbs Above 4 Percent Under Trump
Who doesn't know what they are talking about? And I don't mean that as an insult.
You tell me I don't know crap, then you regurgitate the same things you have been saying. That Obama averaged around 2.5. Meanwhile the article I linked to clearly said that previous recoveries were in the 4% range.
Oh. And thanks for all the links to you remarkable points. I have repeatedly asked for links from the left and you have repeatedly ignored them.
But hey. Thanks for proving to everybody that what I have been saying is true.

And here is another link. If you guys need help learning how to post links, let us know. I'm sure we can help you out.
Consumer spending propelled U.S. economic growth to a 4.1 percent pace in the second quarter, the fastest since 2014, letting President Donald Trump claim a win for his policies even though most analysts see the high as temporary.
The annualized rate of gains in gross domestic product was just shy of the 4.2 percent median forecast in a Bloomberg survey. It followed first-quarter growth of 2.2 percent that was revised from 2 percent, the Commerce Department reported Friday. Consumer spending grew 4 percent, more than estimated, while nonresidential business investment climbed at a 7.3 percent clip.

Lol. There's that smug look again. I'm all for folks having high self esteem.
However, I can't help but wonder if reading numbers really is a magic trick.
Ok. Since I'm feeling magnanimous today I'll let you get practice using the Google machine on those GDP numbers. Trust me; it's for your own good.
I'll also give you a pro tip: The first clue you don't know what you're talking about is the fact that you're comparing quarterly numbers with annual numbers. Correct that then you can come up with another flimsy justification.
