It's cute. Lots of antiques. Near the lake. There's a chick fil a and a walmart.

It's quaint.
Based on the one time I had lunch in the downtown area Amicis when my sister had bought me two handles of liquor when I was 19.

Cool little place. It's where I occasionally stayed years ago for games.

It's a cool little small town. Really pretty, some decent cafes and restaurants. Quiet. Honestly wouldn't mind living there at some point

Not far from Athens. Great old homes that are pretty cheap. Seems sleepy and a bit dry.

Not really. The place and real estate prices are exploding.
If you wanna live in town or close to literate people bring some $$$

Just far away enough from Atlanta to be inconvenient, but just close enough to be expensive.

This year I saw a small craftsmen style house, historic but unrenovated sell for over 300.
Also the public schools are shite.

Spared by Sherman. Lots of ante bellum architecture.

I know they usually rank high there, but been about 15 years since I lived in the area down the road in Milledgeville so things could have changed

Crawfordville is on I20...AH Stephens State Park and Historic site are there....and a decent fishing pond. A little more scenic than Crawford but another casualty of the interstate system - not much going on. Sweet Home Alabama and Coward of the County were filmed there (or at least parts were).

I always liked Madison.
It's a ritzy historic town with a soft side.

TheY claim to be the town too pretty for Sherman to burn but that's actually just what they tell the tourists. Shermans army never came close to Madison IIRC

Drove through Madison for the first time recently. I came in from the Athens side of town and was really impressed with the homes and feel of the town. Then I made it a bit farther down the road and it was skr8 ghetto....poor, poor, poor. Kind of an interesting dynamic, if ya smell what I'm cookin'.

Plus it is close enough to Athens to get that fire weed.
