I think currently nobody actually knows the status of their contract and whether they have any exemptions to the 5 game per team/year.
they are allowed to show us 1 more time after this weekend. The noon slot doesn't count. In my view I'm looking at the other avilable options CBS has each weekend. November 11th there's UGA/OM, UF/LSU, Missouri/UT. Each of those are damn good games in their own right. Obviously the outcome of tomorrow will have a slight effectd on Mizz/UT. Although UF isn't great this year, UF/LSU still has cache and major name appeal. If CBS passes on our game, they're still going to get a great second option asa backup. Now let's look at 11/18. The entire west is playign nobodies. The only 3 SEC games even being played that weekend are UGA/UT, UF/Mizz, and UK/SC. UK/SC obviously doesn't factor in here.
Obviously CBS would be just fine airing our game on either of those weekends. So the biggest ultimate question in my eyes is, would CBS rather air UF/LSU, or UF/Missouri? Because on one of those weeks that's what they're going to be forced to do. I just can't really see a scenario where they'd willingly take a crap matchup (on 11/18) that will not draw many eyeballs.

Again…there is word that there were a set of exclusions for the 5X thing over the contract and that they haven’t used them all…and contract is ending. That is the reason for current questions…that hasn’t been substantiated.

Gameday coming to Athens next week is probably a clue that it'll be the 7:00 ESPN slot with Fowler and Herbstreit calling the game.

Where is it posted that it is night game?
CBS still says tbd
Why would CBS give up a game that could decide both the East and West?

Interesting. No idea why they would do that.

Because if they took us this weekend they'd be forced to take Florida/Missouri next weekend. This makes much more logical sense

CBS gotta be kicking themselves for picking USCe - UGA in September.

Can't they call it coverage of OM?

I love 3:30 kicks but we need this night game atmosphere.

More importantly, it means that the Tennessee game is not at night.
