Exactly. This area will be subdivision hell in ten years so they need to start getting ready for it now.

How much snow has not fallen between Ringold and Calhoun tonight so far? I understand temps have dropped 20 degrees in the last three hours with most of the precip still in Alabama coming in.

UGA doesn't close for snow and ice. They never do.

Why are you surprised?

The governor forced them, after the shitshow of 2009.

Notice they didn't cancel.... just delayed.... as if roads will be any safer at noon when the temp is still 22 degrees.

You're just gonna have to trust me on this.

My yard is dusted and that’s about it. Some secondary roads are frozen but that’s it. Again, zero need for snow chains.

There is about an an inch to an inch and half here, still coming down. Called out of work because our roads are terrible, plus my wife is home since school got cancelled so win-win.

Me and mrs WG's works both canceled for today. Got a pretty good snow layer here in ATL, doesn't seem to be too much ice from what I can tell. Still real cold.

So true. During the snow storm in 09, I had to do a story for the campus news outlet about all the students that slipped and got injured on campus because they stayed open. There was at least 6 inches of snow and ice everywhere, half the city didn't have power.

Atlanta looks like it got fricked. Where I am we hardly got a dusting on grass. The roads were wet from rain though and froze up.

2009 we had 9 inches stacked on the deck rail in west Athens and no power for three days and UGA refused to close.

What part of I don’t need snow chains is unclear? You may be a shitty driver but some of us aren’t.
