And even if it did, you can drive to a store that isn't open and buy what, exactly?

When exactly is it that we are expecting this “weather”?
Posted on 1/15/18 at 10:38 am to DawgHolliday
Tuesday late night into early Wed morning.
There is a 100% chance of snow.
The variable is how fast the system moves through.
Some models have it blowing through quickly, giving little to no accumulation.
Some models have it moving more slowly, resulting in higher accumulation.

Last time they said a light dusting, it resulted in 8 inches.....

Anyone waiting for the governor to make an announcement needs to take precautions now.

Snow chains. Lol. Pussy.

Right... save the snow chains to bust out the windows of the CVS and take the medication your family needs to survive, like a real man.

Yeah sure whatever slick. Don’t forgot your flare gun and water purification kit. If you are gonna go full blown panic go all out.

Act as cool as you want, chief. You know damn well your wife is at Publix right now loading up on baby formula even though you don’t have a baby, you know, just in case.

Dinty Moore. That's the shite you need.
Posted on 1/15/18 at 1:15 pm to deeprig9
Not seeing this forecast you speak of. Where it be?
Posted on 1/15/18 at 1:22 pm to deeprig9
Nope. Learn how to drive man. I mean, do you think the rest of the country goes into a panic every time there is bad weather? People up north deal with this shite all the time. Equip your vehicle properly and learn how to drive in less than idea conditions and you will be fine.

That's the point. We aren't Yankees. We aren't used to driving in snow. Even if it was my goal in life to be awesome at snow driving, I couldn't because it doesn't snow enough down here to practice. And I thank God for that.

Thanks, Canton! Wunderground still isn't showing any of that.

Clear on that but that’s also why I bought a vehicle that will pretty much go anywhere. I lived in Vegas for a few years, when it rains out there it’s worse than any amount of snow here. Cars sliding all over the place.

Snow isn't a big deal.
The problem down south is that the humidity likes to do mayhem with ice.
Even Yankees are going to struggle with ice on these Georgia hills/mountains. Up until 2 years ago, we never treated our roads with brine until after it was a problem.
I can handle snow. I welcome snow. I just know better. Most times that we expect snow... we get the ice. And it's Armageddon with falling pinetrees, impassable hills/slopes, and too many vehicles in a commuter town.

You don't need no stinking chains for snow. A four wheel drive will take you as far as a person needs to go. I venture to say I put more miles on a vehicle in the snow than any of you do.
