Stafford has asked to be traded. Teams that badly need QBs are the Patriots, Colts, Jags, Falcons, and 49ers. So do you draft or sign Stafford and try to build around him? The Patriots have a fairly decent team so Stafford and some DB help in the draft might be the way to go.

Colts should trade for him. Good team with good weapons and a good defense that needs a QB. SF would make sense too.

The Falcons do not have an immediate need for QB. A backup? Yes. QB of the future? Yes.

I hope he goes to either the Colts or Steelers (assuming Roethlisberger retires).

The Falcons trading Ryan for Stafford would literally be trading for a worse version of the exact same thing. A franchise QB five years past his prime.

Hope he goes to the Patriots and wins a Super Bowl. BB needs a qb and Brady getting it done at tampa has to rub him the wrong way.

The Pats need more than a QB. The Colts could go the big game with him next year.

Colts or Broncos. Niners will be in the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes.

Not a bad move for them. Would free them from the Dak contract situation.

Falcons should not be in this group. Matt Ryan still has good football in him. His contract is an issue though.

Jacksonville is about to land a potential franchise QB and have him on a rookie contract for 5 years. They have no interest in Stafford.

I think Indianapolis is the best fit. That's a Super Bowl caliber roster with good QB play. Rivers doesn't have the arm that he used to and it was clearly evident throughout the season. Stafford would put them on damn near even footing with Kansas City. They need one more WR as well.

Matthew Stafford is one of the toughest SOBs in sports for putting that uniform on every week behind the offensive lines he has played behind for the past 12 years. I really hope he gets a legit opportunity with a contender.

I think the Bears would be the best fit, but no way those 2 teams deal with each other. My guess - and hope - would be Indy for sure

You know how I know you don't watch the NFL? Falcons have no immediate need for a QB and certainly wouldn't trade for a slightly worse version of the QB they already have.

So 2-3 years younger than Ryan. And not as good. Sweet!

He's past his prime at 33?

Ryan is past his prime at 35?

Yes. Both are correct. They’re both past their prime.

And I’ll take Ryan at 35 over Stafford at 33.

Believe it or not, guys throwing 40+ TD’s well into their 40’s like Brady are not the norm. Early to mid 30’s is normally when you start to see a decline.
