None of us coach or play for UGA so I don't see the harm in looking ahead to them. I've watched a few of their games but I haven't paid enough attention to get a great feel for them. Are they running the same kind of offense and defense that Kelly ran at ND or are they a different beast?

They’re a run-heavy team that uses a lot of QB run, so the closest comparison of teams we’ve seen this year stylistically would be Florida, but a much more competent and slightly more talented version of that.

They also have a solid defensive front seven and can pass rush well. We'll have to be aware of where Perkins is on every play. He will be a first rounder.

So UF with an actual passing game?

Their front 7 is legit. The backside, not so much. Thankfully, we have some TE's we can keep in to get a chip to help out.

Agreed. They’re an SECw team and have an SECw defensive front. We saw how MissState competed with us defensively and LSU is better.

I think we’ll be able to scheme to deal with their offense…:but we’re going to need a good game out of Stet and Monken. I don’t see us grinding this one out with manball and a 10 point lead.

I’m feeling like this one is a blowout. I know Kelly is a seasoned head coach but he’s in his first year there. He’s taken advantage of a down west and a down Alabama to get where he’s at.

I haven't watched much LSU football this year so I don't know what to make of it. We do owe them an arse whipping though.

I haven't watched LSU.

But mobile QBs who are actually involved in the running game are trouble.

And in a weird fashion, mobile QBs who actually scramble to throw are trouble.

Stetson struggled with drop 7 and drop 8 against Kentucky. I think the road and weather had a little to do with that. But we didn't have a lot of long windows with guys open.

It should be a good game. Hopefully, we can use a good mix of run and pass to keep LSU off balance and move the chains. Hopefully, we can finish in the redzone.

They’ve been in a lot of close cripple fight type games from what I’ve seen.

I feel like this is a great matchup for UGA, especially defensively. They are one dimensional at baseline. Assuming we can severely limit their run game, they will really struggle to move the ball in a meaningful way.

So is this thread cursed bc we had a bad first quarter against tech? Or can we resume lsu discussion here?
Just read Brian Kelly said he’s ‘hopeful’ to have Jayden back for Saturday but also he is in a walking boot today…. It’s not a high ankle sprain but his mobility will be limited. Interesting.

Is LSU's backup QB any good? Got a Tua or Jalen Hurts back there...? Just making sure...

I don’t want to make too many assumptions about the A&M game because as we saw getting through that last game when you have the SECCG looming was a challenge.

That said, this is the first time I watched them play for a full game and I feel better. Their D was sloppy and I’m not sure what happened to Perkins. He was hurt but then came back?

The passes they completed were to wide open receivers which I hope we’ll take away. Then your left with their run game which I feel good about being able to manage.

Don’t know about QB2 though but he can’t be that great or he’d have been playing early. This isn’t a Bama with superstars waiting in the wings.

I go the other way, I htink mobile QBs that are also great passers are what give us fits. Gusy like Byrce, Tua, burrow for instance, now granted those guys are elite in general but still. We've played against plenty of mobile QBs that aren't passing threats and while frustrating they don't really firghten you about losing.

From what I've seen Daniels is slippery as hell and fast to boot, so he will definitely present isseus runniing. But dude can't throw, and at times seems scared to throw he'll hold the ball forever then take off anyway. If they don't scare or challenge us in the passing game, I dont' see a QB singlehandedly beating us jsut by running over the course of a full game.

They could easily be 6-6 or 7-5 and their 2 SEC losses were blowouts.

Don't wanna be too overconfident but they don't worry me that much.

They have enough athletes and good coaches to challenge us. We just can’t play down to their game.

looked like he was sitting back playing spy on weigman a lot in the game Saturday.
Some plays he was literally just standing there. Idk whose idea that was but it clearly didn’t work. They shoulda dialed up some heat if he’s such a badass.

I want to say since the sec championship has been the major goal this season that we won’t do that in this game.
