Texas is trapped in a cycle of mediocracy

However, it also has no state income tax, which amounts to a nice little raise.

Just saw a link to CBS story. It's not a done deal, but highly likely.

If one of those teams throws 1.5 mil at him, it would be hard not to at least listen.

Texas has been throwing big money around. I think their boosters are finally tired of losing and throwing the kitchen sink at this. The cost of living is much higher in Austin compared to Athens though.

Yea I think it’s almost a done deal now, good for him and not a loss IMO for us. His defenses were good I’m not discrediting him, I just think we will upgrade

If true I’d gladly take Muschamp as DC

Muschamps defenses haver been in the bottom half of the SEC as long as he has been at USC. We don't need him or want him. He is a Gator at heart. He said so.

There’s a huge difference between being a HC w very little talent, and a DC with a ton of talent.

I got a notification from CBS Sports just about an hour ago saying he is the leading candidate and believed to have the DC job at Texas if he accepts it.

I just don't get this. Why move when you're at a great school.

I mean we probably was only gonna be able to hold on to him for another year anyway. Finding a replacement isn't going to be a big deal, Glenn Schuman probably gets the nod as he is already co coordinator

I’d guess to get out of Kirby’s shadow and show he can do it himself. Plus he won’t have a “co-coordinator” he has to split the job with.

If Kirby wants to keep him, open up the checkbook and keep him. No way the DC at Texas is a better gig than DC at Georgia.

This Texas program is a mess right now. The rich boosters are in charge. Sark will be gone in four years, hope he has big contract.
